I'm Jeremy McKinnon, and this is my metal band. I work here with Neil Westfall and my guitarist, big Skaff, and in 13 years I've learned one thing. You never know WHAT is gonna disrespect your surroundings.
What would've been awesome was is Jeremy said: "Rick, 'If It Means A Lot to You', i will sell it for $2500". And all the fan girls say waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!
he has played guitar tracks for adtr songs though. and an acoustic is what he uses for said tracks. also to the right person value would go up, the problem is finding someone whos both an adtr fan and also wants a vintage 4 string guitar.
Honestly, they didnt mention Jeremy being in ADTR because they arent huge-huge. Yeah, theyre big, but theyre not known-big. To us ADTR is big because thats our scene, our genre. To the average person Jeremy is just a guy in a band. If they mentioned ADTR I guarentee hardly anyone would know what ADTR is. Keep in mind most of the watchers are in their 50's so idk why youre all angry they didnt mentioned ADTR
They should still mention ADTR since it could be good exposure to a larger audience. And not everyone who watches Pawn Stars are in their 50s. ADTR is well known in the earlier quarter of life.
Shawn Alley Point not proven. That's two young people in the comment section of a Pawn Star video on a site typically used by the younger generations, obviously you're going to find plenty of young Pawn Star viewers here.
Alyssa Diana actually ADTR is HUGE. It's just their not recognized a lot for their songs being played. After I discovered them I started noticing their music being played in establishments
I was bored and watching tv with my parents one day, and this show came on and I was like. "That's...there's no freakin way, that's Jeremy Mckinnon!" and they were like "Who?" xD
" Twenty bucks says you'll remember me When you see me on your TV screen " I think we're missing the point here, Jeremy owes us all $20 according to Monument
It's frustrating to see people say, "Oh, they should have given Jeremy exactly what he asked for!!!" I look at it like this: 1. Rick is a pawn shop owner, not a social worker. He needs to make money, so he's going to try to buy it for as little as possible. 2. It's entirely possible (this is what I would've done) that Jeremy asked for a much higher price than he knew he would get, just so he had room to haggle down.
Also, I dont think that the people from Pawn Star would know who A Day To Remember is, i love adtr , one of my fave bands, but i watch pawn stars too, and i have a good feeling that they dont listen to metal/ pop punk, so there is another good poin to support your reason yatsign007
JcCaron23 but he shouldn't. it was a beat up guitar and if it was that important to him why the fuck did he sell it. Whether or not you listen to him from some band doesn't make it so that his stuff should sell for more.
It is also in bad condition, and he has to (like you said) make money and repair it (if he wants to). It might also sit in his shop for a long time and not be sold.
I think it takes a lot for someone who is fairly well known in the music community like Jeremy to go on a national show and not advertise the crap out of his band. There was no mention of who he was, as far as everyone was concerned he was just a young guy with a guitar. Shows how modest he really is, I respect that.
I just think it's hilarious that to Rick he's just some customer, probably doesn't even know who he is, but to us fangirls/guys he's like this God that we pray to.
+Codester i see what u mean but u have to consider that they weren't very well known at this point. i dont think homesick was out at this point. and even today they are pretty successful and have a big following but there not exactly household names that everyone knows like the beetles
No A Day to Remember fan would even buy that guitar for its actual worth in the first place, let alone an inflated price because the previous owner is somewhat famous.
Not even Jeremy fucking McKinnon is safe from being screwed over by Rick lol You wanna take, take, take, take, take my guitar away! You can't wait, wait, wait, wait, wait to be cheap today! IT'S WORTH MORE THAN 2K!!!!!!!! GO!!!
I’m Rick Harrison, and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my old man and my son, Big Hoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I’ve learned after 21 years - you never know what is gonna come through that door.
Razer Rogue I think what she meant was that he used to use ADTR's music in almost every one of his videos. Jeremy is the lead singer of that band. Rest in piece Kitty.
Tbh, I actually respect Jeremy more for this...for starters, as stated below in the comments, he could of sold it online/signed it and made a bunch more money, but yet, he didn't; he sold it, so someone who would appreciate it could buy it, not just someone who is a huge fan of ADTR. Also, he didn't get all rude when Corey went out and pretty much called the guitar a piece of shit. Then again, just my personal opinion.

He is the vocalist of a post-hardcore rock band called A Day To Remember, similar to bands like Escape The Fate, Pierce The Veil, Chiodos, Alexisonfire. If you don't know these bands then you probably won't be into them. Or you could check them out anyways, you might like them, who knows.
Dude i get you listen to alot of music alot and you think you're an expert but he makes enough to be called Rich I don't want to hear it everyone and there mother listens to ADTR.
Dylan Diabeaters hahaha you sound so stupid, if you knew anything about labels or the music industry then you would know that ADTR doesn't make shit. It doesn't matter how many people listen to ADTR anyways.
Jeremy could just like buy adtr albums and sign it, make a fake ebay account and sell them lmao. he'd probably make way more than this in a couple weeks
uhm my buddy who listens to adtr and other such music uses a mes boogie gigging amp as his bedroom amp and plays on a bunch of limited edition guitars and has a vintage guitar collection. look at the adtr guys before they even got huge and they were gear nerds same with loads of other people. i wouldnt say they are necessarily rich but people who play instruments and like this kinda music generally are willing to put out for quality instruments. i went to high school with kids who had axefx for their home set ups and didnt play shows. also Jeremy has played acoustic guitars for some adtr songs. also i know loads of guitars that have belonged to famous musicians who werent famous for playing that guitar or playing guitar at all that have sold for an increased amount. the issue is more to due with people in this genre also wanting a 4 string. a regular 6 string sure, but its a tenor guitar ive seen old ones that were well made that people couldnt give away, the only reason that one is worth shit is cause its a vintage martin, which the people who are collecting martins are generally not hardcore/derivative people.
