Jeremy Pena basically coming out of nowhere and upgrading the SS position for the Astros is something that is absolutely amazing! I was one of those guys saying "We have to keep Correa!" Astros knew what they had the whole time with Pena. Correa Walks- A star is born!
@@Blop934 nah not really. Coming from an Astros fan. He was hot in the start but once he got hurt he kinda struggled to find his rhythm until they moved him to the two spot. Best decision ever lmao
@@trickzy456check out his second at bat against Ohtani in Houston in late September. He starts it off with his usual leg kick off the ground. He swings and misses (once again) against Ohtani’s outside slider which has been his kryptonite all season. Then, mid at-bat, he makes an adjustment and doesn’t do his leg kick. Instead just keeps his toes on the ground. Never lifts his leg. He then singles off the outside slider. He was red hot including the postseason ever since he made that adjustment.
If you think about it… he’s exactly what happened to Magic Johnson his rookie year.Had a great regular season. He lost ROY but, went to the playoffs made key plays, (ALCS,WS) MVPs and Champion. JP3 just didn’t have the hype behind him
The reason why he did not win was because he does not play like a rookie, he plays like a veteran who has been in the league for a long time, his defense was one of the best, that’s why he won a gold glove, and his offense is also good by getting himself on base, so think about it like that, he did not play like a rookie, and he was a 25 year old rookie, older than the others, Peña and Alvarez are the same age
