He's like a human, heat seeking missile, and he EXPLODES on mufukas. It's nice to see that his play is acknowledged by the league & his peers. Plus, he made us cry, with GOOD news. That's not easy to do.

If you can master open field tackling at full speed you're a special player.

His full-speed cuts are amazing to watch. He's like a Barry Sanders on special teams.

It means he’s been a very impressive tackler on the special teams unit which is when you’re kicking off and punting.

I am by no means a hater and am happy for him... I just don't really see what constitutes a pro bowl and all pro? A few tackles and only a few solo tackles...

He is a pro bowler for special teams and it’s based on fan and player voting

He’s AP All-Pro, Player Voted All-Pro, and in the Pro Bowl.

Yes, consistently making tackles is pro-bowl status. The key is that he only has a few missed tackles. Return coverage isn't easy. You gotta fly down the field and put your nose to the grindstone; you gotta be skilled, gritty, and fearless. Statistically, MANY injuries happen on returns, to the point that the NFL has changed rules on kicks to lessen injuries. There's a reason most top-tier guys don't play special teams. Imagine Ray Lewis in kick coverage! He'd probably kill someone (no pun intended)... and then himself before long. The dynamics of a return doesn't lend to a ton of earth-shattering tackles. Sounds like you've never played organized football. Try running 20mph for 50 yards, towards a top-tier athlete who's running the opposite direction, WHILE dodging a series of blockers all the way down the field with a dozen other guys moving all around, AND even lay a hand on the return man much less, lay them out. You have to be incredibly skilled just to track them and close in, without taking the slightest wrong angle, at full-tilt.

being an upback and having the impact he had on punts is insane

maybe if you’re being causal and looking at stats i’d see why u wouldn’t get it. but watching games you could see his impact he called the snaps tress didn’t have any punts blocked he’s blocking lineman getting down field at the same time as gunners and making plays.
