Thanks for this thoughtful message. I first heard this young man in a discussion with others on the subject of Gods role for women in the church. Most of the discussions on that subject wind up being rancorous and angry and I usually go away feeling nothing was achieved but hard feelings. Your demeanor in that debate was both respectful and Christ like. But what really impressed me was your knowledge of Gods word and how it applied to the subject under discussion. I find a similar thoroughness and understanding of God's word in this teaching. You are gifted in proclaiming God's word and I will be praying that you reach many souls there in the U.K.
This was excellent, well said. Though many may have good intentions this is a very bad movement and none of any good will come of it. Smacks more of the apostasy racing toward Rome. Therefore I doubt it will be remedied.
Francis Chan has proved to be very ecumenical, speaks approvingly of Romanism, lauds the current Pope and seems to be whether unwittingly or not, a pied piper leading the New Calvinists (or a sizeable section at least) along the road to Rome. He's also something of a bridgehead between the New Calvinists and the NAR hyper-charismatics who are already well down the Roman road and crave church unity with a willingness to submit to the Pope as 'chief apostle'. The end times Antichrist superchurch is fast taking shape.
This is a movement of men, by men and even if not intentioned, for man’s fame. Look to the old paths. I’m saddened by the circus that the church is turned into. This movement continues to bear bad fruit as its own evidence.This movement completely loses the simplicity that is found in Christ. 2Cor 11:3 Never thought I would see this . So sad. I see people coming out of the world and I to this and they truly do not see the problem. This is coming to a bad end.
I skimmed through this message but will come back to it later, and correct me if I'm wrong but did he just quote on scripture. What we should do is show what their teaching and compare it to scripture , T Jer. 17:9 " the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: and who can know it? " This is the word of God and it says your entire being is sin infested. Now what part of your heart is clean ? Ans. none of it. If you know this, then you have your (T). Even your faith is corrupt. There's no way around it...
I don’t get how you can still recognize false teachers. They are to be rebuked. If they don’t repent, they are to be put out. No ifs ands or buts. If they contradict something settled by the teachings of Christ/epistles, they are preaching a false doctrine
