I think people need to understand that the term nerd was changing about the early 2000s Nerds where the highest on the tier list of “loser” Geeks where taken over basically not smart “Nerds” then you got Dorks basically social out cast who are loses bottom of the tier list. I would say yesterdays dorks are todays Simps. And then at the bottom of the totem pole you got “Losers” / “Virgin Losers” basically the man children who never get out of the parents basement.
Tbf towards the end Jeremy gets too absorbed in his research (Justifiably) and Aelita feels a bit abandoned, but that leads to her becoming more independent from Jeremy
They make a cute couple, and I'm much more interested in their relationship than the Ulrich-William-Yumi love triangle. My favorite clips in this video were from: 3:05-3:17 Deja Vu where Jeremy dived into the pool to save Aeilta 2:51-2:59 The "something" clip from Vertigo 3:50-4:01 The "wind beneath my wings" clip from Double Take 4:19-5:03 Every clip from Distant Memory
@@yzkykr I can indeed see the chemistry between them, especially since she's actually a little savage of her own. But this video has made me divided on which ship to support.
The VA used a lighter tone before deepening it to make him sound more like a boy, but then went back to using the lighter tone again later in the show.
I remember very fondly of it. And ever since I found out the creator based it on "Serial Experiments Lain", one of my favorite animes, my love only increased.
Couldn't agree more! It's so rare to see non-toxic couples in this kind of show for some reason so seeing these two having a healthy one is wonderful. Btw, I can't help but say that the voices in the english dub sound so weird compared to the OG french version
@@saul8510 indeed, but it's very rare ngl and considering the pressure Jeremy goes through, I can much less blame him than most other couples in tv shows
@@saul8510And Jerlita at least didn't endure a dumpster fire finale where one of them gets all the focus and the other just... dissapears for bullshit reasons. Yes, I'm still bitter about that
Omfg that dub for Jérémie. O_o Genuinely sounds like a ytp I can't believe what they've done to him. Well at least Odd is ok, you wouldn't believe his real voice. x) (I bet there hasn't been a whole ass literal 20 years debate about his gender in non-French countries)
I mean, when you love someone with all your heart and soul and are willing to sacrifice your life for them, then you will just go through about anything just to help them.
All that suffering to the world just to turn his waifu real again and to keep her alive. Well, I shouldn't be so hard on him. He was kinda manipulated to go to that factory after all. And none of the group could bare sacrificing her.
@@jhavynmorrison8756 This show has plenty of "implied naughtiness." It shows Sissy in her underwear more than once, Yumi and Ulrich forced to strip together in a boiler room, and more. They're middle schoolers because it's a show made for middle schoolers, and they're typically going through serious hormonal changes so that's the stuff that interests them. Demanding that shows for kids and teens stay absolutely puritan in nature isn't cool tbh.
I think of all of them Ghost Channel might be the most touching? All the others are very cute but it's Jeremy basically facing his greatest fear on his own and knowing Aelita won't even be there when he arrives It's 100% the best episode in the entire show
I watched code lyoko in polish when I was a kid (and rewatched it recently). To me the voices sound much better in polish, so much so that I wish I could share that with everyone ❤ Hearing Jeremy’s and Aelita’s voices in english almost hurts in comparison, especially since they’re my favorite characters... and I wanted to introduce the series to friends who could only watch it in english 😭
