i watched some of this stream (finishing the horse painting) while zoinked and was chatting but I eventually fell asleep. I had a horrifying dream where jerma had pulled up my twitch profile and was reading all my messages and he was taking away my chatting privileges because I said he was 3 apples tall edit: to be clear this happened on stream in my dream and chat was saying I was so mean to him and I felt really bad. like this is the first nightmare I’ve had in MONTHS edit 2: in the dream he sounded like he was sincere when he said my messages were really mean and I felt physically ill when I woke up because I thought it had happened in real life
I really love the idea that after all the bullying chat's done about Jerma's height over the years, somehow saying he's 3 apples tall is crossing the line LMAO
As someone who's played this game once before jerma is actually really good at this because he draws with his emotion in broad strokes and huge shapes instead of being a boring artist that thinks for a full 30 minutes about the proportions and the overall composition to achieve something as realistic as possible. The best art is just someone going hog wild on the canvas and this game is perfect for that.
I just realised I basically described ai art vs human art Tbf human artists can be as soulless as an ai and that's usually when they follow too much advice from industry giants
Honestly for someone who claims to know nothing about making art his color theory is really good. I always see people just throwing a bunch of neons together & making brown but he picks complementary colors
I love how Jerma completely embraced the idea of happy accidents. Every time he screwed up in a big way he just reinterpreted the painting and adjusted it to fit the new idea
That person who one upped jerma with the unicorn drawing was kind of pathetic (not in the sense that they're subhuman for doing it but just that they knew it would be an easy way to get compliments from a twitch streamer and their chat so they sweated hard getting it done in the most simply shaded art style possible) it actually made me appreciate his art a whole lot more.

I haven’t watched the video but I’m using this space to record my recent dream about Jerma. It wasn’t a funny dream but I’d like to record it. I was in a HUGE stadium that looked like a huge football stadium, except it was for theater performances. So the seats were an arc instead of a full oval. Jerma was having a live musical performance, and I guess streaming it too, I don’t know. I was sitting pretty high up but my dream would let me zoom in super close. The stadium was PACKED. Jerma and around 20 backup dancers and a few backup singers were performing Wellerman (Sea Shanty) by Nathan Evans. (I didn’t even know who sung the song or what it was called until I looked it up to write this comment lol) I have only heard a small portion of that song in real life, and I don’t know most of the lyrics in that small portion. So my brain basically created the full song and lyrics on its own, but it sounded very similar, except a very theatrical version. I don’t remember any of the lyrics now though. And Jerma was singing it. But not his weird funny singing. He was SINGING. And it really sounded like his voice, but if he was an AMAZING singer. And his backup dancers were moving in props and stuff for him to interact with. I don’t remember most of them, but it was mostly just him walking over/under/around the props. But near the end, they brought out a pig on a leash. Jerma lied down and let the pig walk over him. Similar to how someone lays under a car so the wheels don’t squish them, but a pig. And he was still singing while it was going on. It took a while for the pig to walk over him, then he got up and continued the show. It was AMAZING and he ended on a long note and confetti shot off and everyone was clapping and cheering. I woke up soon after. BUT. I SOMEHOW didn’t notice this until after I woke up, but the reason it took a while for the pig to walk over him was because the pig had like 15 SETS OF LEGS. WHAT THE FUCK. Everything else was normal except for that pig. I also don’t know what a pig walking over him had to do with the song.
The fact that Jeremy can’t seem to even picture a horse in his head scares me, he’s painting it like it’s some obscure video game character? He doesn’t seem to understand what a horse looks like? “Their ears they point downwards right?” What????

Literally no one imagines a high quality photograph of a horse, they just imagine a shitty ai generated looking picture of a horse and convince themselves "yep, that's a high quality image right there, don't need to worry about the details". At least you're true to yourself. Animals are actually impossible to imagine accurately. Anyone who can (like me) think of a horse mid-run. Now think of a person riding it and zoom into the face. Now zoom out. Are the legs in the same position? Now that you mention it, do the legs make sense or are they bent weird? Did the background change? Is there a tail? Ears? A snout? How much of the legs are upper and lower leg? Are they a constant thickness or do they have the thick chicken thigh bit at the top that they actually do have if you look them up? Most importantly, after all this, did you notice the horse has weird fucked up human teeth and lips? I think not, yet you convince yourself you're special, that you're more than just dust in the wind. Welcome to the club pal, life sucks and then ya die.
How much more of this is he going to do because I want more. Watching people paint in video games is really comfy. It's very specific too. An actual artist drawing in the paint program of their choice doesn't have the same feel.
you could watch other youtubers and streamers play this. Most of my favourite streamers and youtubers (apart from jerma) came from me just going onto youtube and typing in lets plays for obscure games.
I know the point of him streaming this is to make something awful and we laugh about it but I just wish he drew something with reference or with a guide like bob ross cuz he could make something nice if he tried
I think the facecam looks odd because the camera is farther away and the focal length is large, making the apparent space between the foreground and background seem small. It's why I think the door in the facecam-with-a-lot-of-empty-space-above-his-head joke looked HUGE (also because its tilted down)
@@JacobKinsley It wouldn't have the same effect if it was just the FOV though, the distance is a major part of it. "The FOV is low" also doesnt mean shit to most people. I at least tried to explain what specifically is different but go off.
As someone who has been drawing for under 2 seconds, this was painfully hilarious, too. He honestly can draw better than me, so I have no shame in laughing at his works.

@@holymakerel I'm European, historical monarchy is taught widely and it is common knowledge to know that if a kingdom doesn't have a king they'll have a queen if their succession laws allow it. Also the UK monarchy is great for the UK simply due to the fact that bring in so much money for us

This is obviously made for VR. If you can't even lock the camera - the radial playermodel controller is very much not conducive to the motions of painting.
@@JacobKinsley I stand corrected. Jerma just didn't show that feature off as a streamer idiot that many of them are. But basically it needs to operate kinda like how it does in Powerwash Simulator with a toggle key you can use on the fly.
