Agreed. As a woman who can be a strong advocate for women’s rights and bias against us, don’t agree with what that lady took out of context. I was not offended. Also, perhaps her comment was just like a “hey, that does matter”, not a “you’re a sexist pig”… and then you took it way too hard. also inflation is closer to 5-8% if you went by the way cpi was calculated in the 70s (taking the same basket of good and comparing it year to year). Now a days they cherry pick what to include in the cpi basket every year manipulating the inflation/cpi number to be lower... and after all of this they still can't show it at being a 1-2%.

Compared to all my friends and coworkers, it’s really not hard to be frugal and save for retirement, people are simply stubborn and lazy and most of all, overly entitled from working lower wage positions. 0 accountability and always only blaming the government. We live in a time where we simply want too much lavish and easy lives, look back 40-70 years we ARE in a great era. Stop complaining, live below your means, stop buying stupid NEW shit you don’t even need? Cook at more, work on your credit, you’ll be alright.

Housing price is going up because of a lack of houses. How does raising interest rates cure that. Lowering interest rates would help that.

If the rates go down or you get $25k in tax refunds when you buy a house , you raise DEMAND. But you still haven’t added to the supply side of the housing market. Raise demand w fixed supply will only raise prices.

@@5818fa1 "lack of houses" is a red herring, because builders want there to be scarcity, so they will never willingly overbuild because it's not business smart. It's all just supply and demand, and lower rates will increase demand causing home prices to rise sharply, causing another buying frenzy, and inventory will be even lower. So lowering rates will lower inventory.
