The summer that I toured with you guys is still the greatest summer I ever had..hasn't been topped yet almost 20 years later. So there are lot of great moments from my knowing y'all, but one that sticks out is after the show in Minneapolis with 1919 and Book of Dead Names. Everyone had such a great time and they proposed to do split records with you. I remember us sitting in the car minds totally blown that these great bands would want to do a record together. It was a great moment. And it really makes me feel good to see that there are a lot of fans still after so many years, especially after the way that so many people treated you guys after you started to get popular.
Seriously man you guys are one of the most influential bands to me, i can't express how fucking awesome it is to hear you guys shootin the shit like this. So legendary. Thank you.
Hey boys, thanks for posting this. JD has been my favorite hardcore band since i found out about you guys at 2008 and i have been listening to since then. I was really into finding out about all the band, searching the web for facts, pictures, flyers, videos of live shows, i remember i found Erik talking about the band in some interview. Also Eric's drumming and JD in general influenced me to start playing instrument myself and i have been playing drums since then too in different bands, thanks for that too. Your convo really gave some insight about the band and i enjoyed it. Too bad i was born too late and on different contintent to expierience JD live. Also if its possible i would like to hear that stuff, what Jeff has been doing and did not release. Also waiting for you to release JD merch and vinyl represses! JD never dies!
Really neat to hear all this as you guys have been one of my most influential bands. I could wish I were 10-15 years younger to be around at the time and at the shows, but the truth is that if I were anyone else but myself then the probability is nill that I'd even know about JD or even hardcore.
JEROMES DREAM I’ve been trying to wrap my brain around a lot of what was talked about. I had 2 very close friends that I grew with in almost the exact same way, have found it difficult to make art with anyone since. It always blew my mind that you started in CT, and it was really cool hearing that your first shows were in my neck of the woods (Redding) these are things I’ve speculated you were not together by the time I started listening (around 2005/2006 I bought your discs from alone) Ive wondered if exit 29 was named after Stratford Bridgeport line.. did ct influence your writing? Any particular scenery, roads or places??
