Honestly this is the best the vocals have ever sounded, please keep this style. I don’t mind the megaphone style every now and then but it gets old for an entire album.

I love the latest LP but I also totally get what you mean. I think the megaphone yelp worked on Presents because the songs were way more spastic and quirky; for the tone of the songs on Presents, the eccentric yelp makes sense. It adds to the zany vibe of that album. Also, the megaphone yelp on Presents had way more inflection and eccentricity to it. I feel like Jeff got way more into character in those vocal performances. On the new LP, it felt more like speech than yelping in places. The real question though is why should any album or even any one individual song stick to one vocal approach the whole way through? Between Presents, the old screamo stuff, and Jeff's new scream, there's a wider vocal palette of things normalized for JD fans to draw from now. I'd love to hear material that draws from the whole package.

I do love this, but every time I hear Jeff screaming I’m just hoping he doesn’t damage his vocal cords. This is absolutely amazing but I never want to expect too much, just for safety’s sake. However if everything is peachy, keep it on.

Holy shit. I saw you guys live last year and it was awesome to hear the songs from LP with this vocal style. I'm really hoping this is a hint that you're about to re-release the whole LP with screamed vocals. I'd absolutely pay for it all over again.

honestly not sure why you didn't approach the new album with screamed vocals now, this feels leagues better than the original version and just makes more sense as a track. will say tho that the live set was good.

Because after the record released, and when we toured the rest of the year, Jeff organically began screaming during the live shows. It's where he decided to take it, and we don't think it's gonna change any time soon.
