Great video! I can't find a spot to use the snatch block to get a low pull(like a car) anywhere. Jerr Dan sells a recovers sheave that attaches to the center of the wheel lift but it's $800 for that kit..Do you know of a better solution to get a lower winching angle? If so can you post a video?
I have used my shackles from my sling I put them where the d rings should be under the sling mount. I can the hook my snatch block there by using both, using a short chain to link them. Than hook the block to redirect for a lower pull. If the weight is not that bad after the math I will just use one shackle and hook my small snatch block there
Thanks after fighting with it and braking my back a few times I figured it out figured I could help the other guys that fight with their sling set jerr dan has a few videos but they were no real help
@@raymondmeyer2873 I tried to hook my snatch block into the 2 holes where the sling mount/D ring would go but the hook is too large. I might have to invest in a D-Ring for the lower half.
are u serious? by the time it took u to do that, the police would have a different towing company tow the car away already. that`s after everybody got done laughing at u.
I think it's just better to boom out, lift the car with a j hook bridle and drive slowly to a pullout off the road, then set up this sling, clear the road first
LMAOOOOO.... seeing as of the time I posted this there wasn't a single video showing a correct sling set up on this unit or how to do it without breaking your back. Your welcome because I am sure you were trying to figure it out and now you have an idea how to do it
No , i didn't need to know how to do it , I was just skimming through towing related videos , as I do . And came across this. You're video Is just fine i suppose . It wasnt exactly the viewpoints i like . But hey, I suppose other people do like it as you have it . . Have a nice day .
