To celebrate Jerry’s 57th birthday, I went ahead and made this 10 minuet compilation of him, enjoy :) #jerrycantrell #aliceinchains I do not own any of these clips, this was made for entertainment purposes.
I had to look up what this meant! Babygirl. "He's so babygirl" is the new submissive and breedable, a phrase used to describe when a man is so primally attractive that you want to provide for him that became mainstream in 2021. Babygirl a term of endearment for when a man is being cute, comfortable in his masculinity, or weak in an evocative way.Dec
Wrong!! have you heard Jerry's solo stuff? It's completely different from the collaborations of Layne and Jerry. Layne was the influence for the Lyrics and music of Alice In Chains. Mainly being about an addiction he could not overcome, religion ect. Layne was the brains behind the music and lyrics of AIC. You can easily see this when you compare AIC with Layne Staley to Jerry's solo stuff. I thoroughly like them both a lot. They are completely two different styles of music. Which is why the music of AIC mainly run by Jerry today is so different. Because, the influence Layne once had is gone. R.I.P! Allowing Jerry to gravitate more towards the style of his solo albums. Which came out long before The New AIC everyone knows today.
@@jasoncropper7662 You're clearly the one who hasn't listened to Jerry's solo stuff; just listen to Degredation Trip, not to mention, the 3 albums worth of AIC music since Layne's passing is extremely consistent with the music on those older albums. Jerry has also dealt with addiction btw.
@@LiberatingReality I wish I could say that the new AiC albums are on par with the old ones but I would be lying. It's clear that Layne wasn't only "just the singer". He actually was a big creative force behind the band and he basically created their vocal style and theme (dark and choral). Layne also proved to be a music genius since his other project, Mad Season, is incredible.
@@TheStepmonkey your quote that Layne is "just the singer" is not something I even said. My point is just that Jerry is the primary composer; I'm not undercutting Layne's talent and creative contributions, just highlighting the comparatively overlooked Jerry with evidence of his critical significance to their core sound. The new albums (and Degredation Trip) are consistent in compositional style, whether you believe the quality is up to par is different. You don't have to take my word for it though. Just look up the writing credits per song. Many are written solely by Jerry. It gives the impression that he defined their sound primarily.
Jerry jumps in a crate on the side of the road. "Man in the box. Get it?? Get it??" Gotta love the guy. Edit - I was spewin' he had his hair short though. I'm used to the long haired Cantrell. Glad he's growing it back.
I GUESS HE'S ALRIGHT BUT THEY WILL NEVER BE ALICE IN CHAINS WITHOUT LAYNE STAYLEY HE WAS THAR WHOLE BAND HE HAD SUCH AN AMAZING VOICE HE LOOKED GOOD TOO. MISS YOU LAYNE R.I.P. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER YOU.
I'm a BIG time Layneaholic but both Jerry and Layne made them as epic as they became. Nobody harmonises like those two. They both share the talent of AIC imo. Plus Jerry's done some wicked solo work. Boggy Depot and Degradation Trip are gold
