@joelabo Either you are not familiar with Lars, or you're such a fanboy you can't bring yourself to admit what everyone else knows. Nobody needs to know Lars personally to be aware of the fact that he has always constantly had egotistical diarrhea of the mouth.

This is what I think of when I think of Southerners, guys like Jerry Cantrell. P.S. I an ain't being Bias when I say this (as I'm a Jew from New York) but quite a large percentage of people in the South are way more ahead of the times than the rest of North America (an I say North America for a reason, as Canadian's are...well Canadian's, an Mexican's are...well...their Mexican's).
@mat11trick
@mat11trick 5 лет назад
Well that's kind of you to say.
@buuzzsawtouchedme194
@buuzzsawtouchedme194 5 лет назад
+mat11trick , The stereotype's of people in the South are way over exaggerated, an the ironic thing is I don't hate people who believe the stereotypes, as if you rarely communicate with Southerners (or have never) an the Media is all you have to go by, then it's understandable. I should also add, that stereotypes go both ways, an there are a large percentage of people in the South who view Blacks as criminals, as all they have to go by is the Media, an a huge percentage assume that all Blacks are a member of some sort of gang. P.S. My solution is education, if we can teach kids in School's about why we should tolerate minority groups, then why not teach them negative stereotypes too? P.P.S. Sorry if I'm rambling, the TLDR part is *STEREOTYPES BAD*

Lars personality is one of the biggest reasons of Metallica success despite the other guys and of course their great musical legacy . He is a very good business guy and smart . I´m sure he did very well in the early years opening new doors to the band , social skills .
@karolkozak64
@karolkozak64 5 лет назад
Despite many ppl making fun of his drumming and the overall st.anger drum sound - I think he's the only drummer who plays metal who can actually lay down 'commercial drums patterns'. I can't even explain it but listening to some of the drums on old and newer Metallica records it gets me thinking - ok this guy knows how to compose drums for a song and it's one of the reasons MTV was supportive of playing metal on TV back in the days. I have yet to see another thrash band with that amount of success that Metallica has seen.

Whether Lars is pretentious or not he is the ultimate communicator and a huge reason Metallica became as big as it has. This shows a little piece of that, he knows how to reach people and his ideas are are always a safe bet hence his success all these years, what he normally touches turns to gold.

After hearing this interview, I have to say that William hits like a founding member that nobody knew about. Set aside the Staley Duvall debate. Will really sets nicely in the Alice pocket, in regards to formula. The early dark stuff matures and becomes “Last of my kind”and “Red Giant” The fact that the new goal set by the band was to honor Layne, Will arrived and fit so perfectly into the evolutionary process of AIC. I personally refuse to nit pick over a group of musicians that have survived as much heartbreak as this band has. Love the new music and please continue with more of it.🎶

FINALLY! We get an interview with Cantrell. Fact: The "Friends Don't Let Friends Get Friends Haircuts" on Mike Inez's bass during the Unplugged show was a friendly diss at the Metallica guys because they were in the front row. This was after Load was released. Metallica also supported the rest of the Alice in Chains guys when they could no longer tour. They took Sean and Jerry with them on tour and Mike Inez was supposed to be a replacement for Jason.

About Lars, you can see a lot of BS about the guy on the net but think about it for a moment: if he was really such a difficult person as he is often pictured online, how the hell could he be a good friend of such a hyper cool guy like Jerry?
