Listen to the Country to Pop crossover influence of this track. What amazes Me is the very clean Pure mixing of this song that only David Jones could do. Recorded in Texas U.S.A. sometime 1962 assigned to Challenge Records. Background Singers and Choir ( Unknown but it sounds to me like The Anita Kerr Quartet ). By the way, Jerry wrote for other Stars like Ricky/Rick 'The Late ' Nelson, Gary Puckett and The Union Gap, Al Wilson and many more to mention here. You won't find this composition anywhere, so please thank David Jones respectfully for all of us to enjoy------- Bravo!
Sort of a MASTERPIECE! Those A and R's from Challenge Records did not do a wonderful job as they overlooked the Beauty of this magnificent number. Sad! Remains unreleased to this day.
There is another version of this with strings on it, I guess they kept it in the vaults. Now, that's a rarer find! No Producer was credited on the 45 vinyl single, It's got to be Fuller himself.
Mr. Jones, Don't know how to contact You. As usual another request PLEASE! >>> Busy Line by Herman's Hermits { 1967 } from the LP "Blaze ". There is no known Stereo mix of this record except from the MGM label which sounded Fake Stereo. Thanks again Dave for your patience.
