extreme prejudice music from the original soundtrack composed by Jerry Goldsmith 1987 contains unused trailer score, the plan, the bank p.4 and no friendlies
Spike is right...This needs to be on Blu-Ray release. EXTREME PREJUDICE was one of the most intense action flicks of the 80's with Nick Nolte and his band of Texas Rangers out to take down a notorious sadistic drug lord(played to the hilt of intensity by the brilliant Powers Boothe)..this was one kick ass movie that was one of the best action flicks of the 80's with a testosterone kick ass 80's soundtrack by the great Jerry Goldsmith. One of the baddest macho movies ever made!!!
Regarding the scenario, even if your partly right, I think you're making a confusion with "Lone Wolf McQuade" and maybe "Delta Force 2: the Colombian Connection" (both starring Chuck Norris). The scenario of Extreme Prejudice is more complex than what you describe; except for Nick Nolte, it's not focused on Texas Rangers, rather on a black op / wetwork crew; the druglord played by Powers Boothe is not sadistic (a description which would be more fit for David Carradine in "Lone Wolf..." or the bad guy in "Delta..."). The sickest, really evil character in the movie is rather the Major, a CIA agent played by Michael Ironside (an allusion to Iran-Contragate ?). But I agree: badass, like most of Walter Hill's movies, with a lot of inspiration from Peckinpah's "Wild Bunch".Not a movie for metrosexual hipsters and vegetarians...
the year 1987 was a year for some of the manliest macho testosterone movies ever made....EXTREME PREJUDICE was one of them, and then also was LETHAL WEAPON, PREDATOR, ROBOCOP, THE UNTOUCHABLES, DEATH WISH 3, among others.
