Very interesting and intelligent comment by the great tenor. 90% of voice teachers are arrogant, discouraging. They want to discourage other voice students because they want to feel superior forgetting that they were miserable failures in their own craft of singing, if they even have had the courage to try to become singers themselves. As the old saying goes, those who cannot can always teach.
COMPLETELY BRILLIANT.... What a tragic end to the career of an intellectual, dramatically probing artist. I miss him greatly. CELEBRATE his recordings! He was unmatched in the lyric Tenor repertoire.
