{{{{ DO NOT STEAL }}}}} You know who you are. --------- Jerry Lee Lewis and his band tear it up at Gilley's club. Mickey Gilley joins Lewis toward the end of the show. This is a KILLER show from the Killer.
RIP Killer, i love this man and the world lost a great talent when he passed..we're losing all the great singers and actors and theres nobody with talent to replace them..its sad but thank goodness we have cds and dvds so we can still enjoy...
This lady Dona Oxford would certainly give old Jerry a run for his money that's for sure! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--V7rSmS5NEM.html&start_radio=1
@@heyhey1956 GTFO! That fat-ass heifer wouldn't even be playing if it wasn't for JERRY LEE LEWIS. Even up in his 80's he would smoke her animated goofy ass.
Leon Russell. Ray Charles. Slim Gaillard (played with his foot decades before Jerry Lee did it, invented RockNRoll, and the term 'Groovy' among many other things).
Not everything he did was pure rock and roll, he was as country as it gets. For me his country stuff was his best stuff. He was also an incredible singer.
❤There is absolutely no one to replace this man’s unique talent and the burgeoning creation of rock ‘n roll that will always be one of the most popular music era of all time.
Anybody sitting there having a Ice cold beer listening to Jerry Lee Lewis and ever wondered gee what would it have sounded like to have Jerry Lee Lewis on the piano and Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar!
Thank God Jerry Lee recorded so much great music to leave for this Ole World to enjoy. We will always Love and Miss you and then we will see you again.
a friend of Jim"s gave us tickets to see Jerry Lee Lewis about this time, the early 80s. What an amazing experience, 👏 and I always think of that night and Jim"s friend when I hear Jerry Lee Lewis. He definitely had the music in him- FANTASTIC talent 👏 ❤️
I was so damn lucky to be there at just 12 years old. (With accompanying adults.) Hundreds of concerts in every conceivable genre have followed and at 51 I still haven't seen a better live show other than his later, less intoxicated performances.
He was one of the Greatest... There may never be another one like him... The piano was created for him or was it visa versa... Plus he had a singing talent that will never be duplicated while he was ticking the ivories... If JESUS was his constant companion then he made it home okay... He is missed by all those that loved his style of playing simple songs that got you in the heart... God bless the loved ones that lost him too...
Jerry Lee . Micky Lee and Jimmy Lee 3 cousins that each shocked and changed the world . Only Jimmy is still here and still preaching the gospel . I loved them all but Jimmy changed my life the most with his great teaching . Amazing blessed family .
Jerry Lee was brilliant and fearless just like his cousin Jimmy Lee Swaggart and Micky Gilley . Why these 3 first cousins all impacted our culture and world the way they did and Jimmy still does ..rip Jerry Lee and Mickey ..God bless
Seeing the killer at gilleys. What a treat. Honky tonks like that don't exist like that anymore. Music today is not original and from the heart and soul.

I grew up in Helena / West Helena, Arkansas. I'm 75 now. Shortly after the Scandle in England Jerry couldn't get a gig any where. I was given the task that summer to sign a rock band to play at the teen club. I was given 3 Memphis phone numbers that supplied talent around v the mid- South. I got a call from one of them on a Wednesday saying the band we had booked all had come down with chicken-pox and they had to cancel. I begged for a replacement. One finally gave me a Mississippi phone number. When I called A voice said you got the Killer here. A long story cut down. I booked him for $600 and drove over and got him, borrowed a piano teachers piano and supplied a local base and guitar players and the drummer was Levon Helms. We expected 500 at the most at $10 a couple and $7 for signals. There were thousands showed up. We moved everything to the wrap around porch And at 3am I handed ' The Killer' almost ten thousand dollars and he cried. Wipped the tears away and hot in the car he came in. About first light. I sat on the steps of my house and cried some too. I was 13 years old.
Now that is a cool story Van! Have you listened to his last album that just was recently released "The Boys from Feriday" ? There was some crying for me too.

Love this guy. Self taught. On piano. Read the book "Unconquered" by JD. Davis about 3 cousins Jerry Lee, Mickey Gilley and Jerry Swaggart (the preacher).
my father was one of Jerrys personal friends, me being the baby of the family mama would never let daddy take me around him. My brother and daddy would always go to Hernandos Hideaway. lucky bastards! But growing up in Memphis I had no problems meeting anyone down on riverside or Beal St but. Jerry has always been one of my favorites!!
