Dean also adds (to Jerry) "you shouldn't have shaved tonight". And both wives were present at the event. These two are a legendary and attractive mystery.
I think you need to watch more Martin and Lewis. They were the best team ever to walk this planet! Overstated? I don't think so :). They are both good solo but together they are just so........correct. I doubt we wld know them at all if they hadn't gotten together. I will stop now because I tend to go on a bit!
+nickhandsome0177 Thanks for tuning in and commenting- yes indeed! They loved to "fag it up", it was one of their trademark "schticks"! Disclaimer: Dean and Jerry and all the old Hollywood stars had lots and lots of close friends who were Gay, and no one gave a damn about who was sleeping with whom. If you were a kind and decent and TALENTED person, that was all that mattered... :)
The chemistry between them was part of the fascination. Two funny handsome men with such rapport, it was impossible not watch. Any intimate gestures just seemed to make them even more appealing. And see how the women react to Jerry... they adore him! He said he was like a kid in a candy store and you can't blame the girls, he oozed charisma. Even Jeanne gives a subtle smile when he glances at her. Such a cute guy!
Why, why does Dean keep staring at Jerry's lips like that, roll his eyes and then look at Jerry again ?? Adding: Jerry: "Uh, how are you Mr. Martin?" Dean: "It's been okay since I saw you last night." These two will drive me crazy! Ps. Jerry was to eat completely with kisses, he was so beautiful!
@@daniellebourgade8701 ... Sorry I missed to say Patti too. Both of their wife was speical and I sure they both had to put up with a lot at this time . Also in later years. Have to say Jeanne even thou she wasn't married to Dean at the time of his death she was by his bedside. Jeanne and Dean was soul mate to the end.
According to the book: The Story of Hollywood: An Illustrated History By Gregory Paul Williams, it was next door to the Brown Derby. It closed a year later. Found on the Internet.
jerry was a very smart man he had gifts that i thuoght parramount were stooped to let to let him go he made a lot of money for them stooped to let him go
Does anyone know who the tall, dark-haired man with glasses is on the left edge of the film at 4:55? I'm wondering if that could be Jerry's cousin Marshall Katz, who ran the store for Jerry. Since he is so close to Jerry, he must be someone in Jerry's entourage.
@soapbxprod and @joyous bloom I am young, however I am well aware of who Martin and Lewis were/are. I have a love affair with their comedy, that's why I said "this dude" because I've seen this clip so many times I'm like "that man is funny!"
@2.54 , was this Deans first practice run for the famous ‘snack/booze cart’ that he and his Rat Pack pals brought onto the stage at the Sands in Las Vegas some 10 years later?!
Does anyone know how long Jerry had this shop? What is there now? Can someone post a video of the store today? Is it in ruins ? Is there a store there?
Sorry. I had no intention of ranting on you. Just wasn't sure about it because I don't know how old you are or if you just stumbled upon this clip. I didn't mean any offense....I'm just it a bit slow on the uptake.
@joyous bloom, before you go on ranting on me, I'm well aware of the immensity of who they are/were together and apart. I said "that dude" for comic purposes only.
