OMG....Why didn't Marilyn McCoo Davis and Jerry Reed perform more often together? This may have been an accidental pairing for one TV show, but they made magic, loved each other's music, and enjoyed creating something special for the audience.
I thought Jerry Reed did "The Bird" on one SOLID GOLD TV spot... He had his stuffed bird with him, for the song as well.... And the audience was in stitches when his "bird" flew out of his arm at the end of the song, too!
Long ago I did not like Jerry. I didn't like the way he sang and I thought he was way too cocky. Over the years I realized he's a great musician and a really great guitar player. I have always loved Marilyn though.
