Some people criticize Jerry's stand up as "not hilarious" or "nothing special", etc, etc. But have you honestly heard someone tell a joke as well as he does? There are comedians who make me laugh more histerically, but Seinfeld has perfect delivery and excellent jokes. People don't even realize the impact he's had on their day to day humour. He is a true master of the craft.
I love Seinfeld but he still does the same jokes/act from the 90s. I watch Seinfeld religiously and love the comedy. But he does reuse alot of his older jokes at his stand up shows. Which I know bothers alot of people and I can see where they are coming from.
Juan jose You might be right...but when you can see the jokes coming miles away the delivering an all that becomes boring. Its storytelling without punchline or surprises...
Truly hilarious humor usually contains something that you can’t believe someone said in public. That is not Jerry. It’s so much harder to deliver consistent laughs without standing on the edge of a cliff. The game show bit was great!
I find it interesting that such a harmless, safe comedian can garner so much haters. I could understand if they thought it was lame because he does a lot of clean comedy (which is not easy to do well and he does it great), but it goes way beyond that, it's the type of hate you'd expect a raunchy edgy comedian to attract.
This is one of the funniest routines I’ve seen Jerry do in all his years .... Because I’ve been married 30 years, Glad I’m not alone on this topic now 😃😃 Thank you Jerry
Brilliant comedian!! Delivery, style, finesse, just a well thought out process - he doesn't make me laugh hysterically, but he makes me laugh and I enjoy his work, definitely a fan 🤙
Let's not forget about his teenage girlfriend a few years back..he's no longer funny to me. Just another creep trying to cover his tracks by joking about his marriage now..once a creep always a creep.
@@jackgrimaldi8685 If you have a billion dollars in your bank account, it's not hard to maintain yourself. I personally think he looks every one of those 53 years here.
@Selphie Nah. You got your Seinfeld gossip all confused. His wife is 17 years younger than him. However a creepy 38yo Seinfeld dated an 18yo girl he met when she was 17.
Tyler Brock I would say after 21. But like that guy down there wrote, Seinfeld was with a 17 year old when he was 35 or so. I wonder if that would be funny for him now that his daughter is the same age.
How is that funny? We ppeople with good sense of humor realized that this guy doesnt know comedy whatsoever. I guess what made his tv show funny is a mystery next to the Bermuda Triangle.
@@charliegarcia96 It's called "relating to something". He takes a subject you know and put Larry David's and his views on it. The show took everyday things like relationships and just spoke out what people think. Larry David uses it in Curb Your Enthusiasm. He's being truthful, even if it hurts someone. "Lunch is alright in the beginning, then you move to dinner, but then going back to lunch? That's like being demoted!" It's what people think. George's swooshing pants aswell. Everyone had pants that swooshed atleast once in their life. So they used the everyday thing of swooshing pants and added some stuff, like George trying to conceal the noise infront of his potential employer who apparently fired someone because his nose whistled. Comedic timing also has something to do with it. Kramer just bursting in like a maniac and just "borrowing" food out of Jerry's fridge. It seems funny to me. You don't have to like it, but if Jerry is like the richest comedian in the world because of Seinfeld, it couldn't've sucked, could it? Would've been a failure if it did. Don't think that your view on something makes something worse or better. But hey! This is the RU-vid comment section! You probably won't even read half of this or just insult me. Maybe even both.
Love when they called him “President of the 90’s” on Family Guy (brilliant man who essentially founded a new sub-genre which shows as Big Bang Theory successfully followed).
It’s interesting to compare this version with the one hour special version of this bit that he did. Both are fantastic and so well emphasized with voice and gesture, it looks like he’s developed it a bit more in the special version. One of the funniest ever.
This is as smooth and flawless as a comedian gets!! And some are saying his special is even better. I've got to go watch that right now. He's amazing!! 😁🙌
I agree but since all his stand up jokes arent funny at all. He must have been one of the guys who was willing to get raped by Harvey Weinstein. Its the only explanation i can think of or else he wouldnt be famous for some reason.
Why are they uploading an old Jerry Seinfeld clip? Usually they up load an old clip when the guest was recently on the show or podcast. I would love to see him on Conan’s podcast.
the really fascinating thing about this is how he's polished this bit to perfection. the bit he does currently is almost the same word for word but his delivery and placement has been tuned to perfection.
I'm getting married at 45... if I'm able to move out of my parents' basement by then... I have to move back in now (age 28, pathetic, I know, and I have a non- artist degree) but whatever, college debt is a serious problem.
It’s not pathetic at all. We need to stop treating ourselves like race horses. You’ll be in a better financial place soon enough. Just remember what makes you feel passionate and embody it, and living with your parents won’t be so scary.
Where's the divorced guys bit? "I wake up every day to blissful silence, and do whatever I want with no obligations and learn to fly a plane or play with my dogs and no one tells me what to do and I do chores because I want to, or I don't, and I relax in a state of freedom and peace in complete command of my own life."
@nje22fb so you're saying being married is the only way to happily exist as you grow older? so there is no tiny bit of peace in being on your own cause as pathetic as we are, humans need to grow old with a companion, otherwise life it is nothing but a waste? do you really think that? please, think about it.
Just before this I saw the same marriage bit on his 23 hours to kill special. Very interesting to see the difference in the two. On the special it is much more polished and elaborate bit. One of the strongest 4 minutes I've seen Seinfeld do. Here it is clearly in a earlier stage.
This came at the most opportune time-the reason I’m up so early is because my Floor Lamp w/what HAD the most beautiful bubbled glass dome, fell and broke into Reece’s pieces on the floor-and instead of being BUMMED, realized it had been with me for 6 months and was ‘on it’s way out’ Thanks, Jerry
