My 940 jm pro split from the chamber 5" forward! Only thing i can figure is the base wad came out of the cheap rio ammo. 1 had 3 targets down and pulled the trigger on the 4th in .33 seconds! Was set to be my best run ever. Davidsons replaced it before the next competition!
Thanks for sharing! It’s interesting you mentioned choke tube and the screw on cap. We were doing a charity clay shoot awhile back and the shotgun I was using (20G Stevens pump; don’t remember exact model) was doing soft primer strikes/no-fire shells. We were baffled. The ammo was good and it was seated correctly. Well, what happened was the choke tube cap had backed off/loosened up. It was still on there holding the spring, but I guess the sight decrease in pressure on the firing mechanism (since the cap was loosened) wasn’t allowing it to feed. I need to throw some Loctite on there and remedy it.
Mr. Miculek, PLEASE do not endorse SDI. I'm a graduate of their Gunsmithing course. I learned NOTHING of value toward becoming a gunsmith. NOTHING! It's practically a scam to get GI Bill money since no one in their right mind would pay $10k to write 4-6 papers a week for 8 months and get hands on training on 1) lapping scope rings 2) removing a buggered screw 3) hydro dipping 4) making a kydex holster (the only useful part of the course) and having the 'cap stone class' of building a firearm reduced to receiving parts to assemble said firearm on your own. No 80%, no jigs, no tools, just parts to assemble. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not encourage anyone to waste their time and/or money on this pathetic excuse for a "gunsmithing course".
I bought a tube of choke tube lube about ten years ago and still have about half of it I take the tube out when I clean the gun and all it takes is a couple dots of lube on the threads lasts forever
You made a lot of money off of smith&Wesson. Good for you. Not sure what transpired, 300 blackout vs 300 wisper. I assume JDJ did not have a good patent lawyer. JDJ had an abrasive personality but he had more innovations than S$W ever thought about having.

Hey Jerry, what brand and what material was the longest lasting bolt? I ended up getting a 7.62x39 AR and I need to find the most dependable bolt the I can trust my life with. Also I'm having a hard time trying to decide between a single and two stage trigger. I'm running on a budget so I was looking at the Larue MBT two stage and the Palmetto State Armory single stage match triggers. Which one would you pick and why? and is it even possible to rapid fire with a two stage trigger? I just wanted to say I watch all of your videos and I am very impressed and hope I can hone my skills as close as possible to you because your definitely the legend. I bet you got notches on your guns from every competition you've won lol. Get Some!!!
Jerry I was wondering if you could answer a question for me? In both my safe and my ammo tote I have moisture absorbing cans. I don’t check em often but I did earlier and both happen to have some water in them. I live in the northeast so it’s not terribly humid and their location in the spare bedroom is a little cooler, but not cold. Everything looks ok, no rust. But how did that much moisture get in there and will my ammo be good. Like I said, everything seems fine but I was surprised by the amount of water in the cans. I’m sure with the cans in there the humidity was low, but it worries me….thanks…love your channel
Another shotgun magazine check - for your home defense shotguns that constantly have ammo. Sometimes you get dirt/copper crud that clogs the whole thing up. It is good to unload the tube and take out the spring and clean the tube/spring every year...
ETA: Seriously, it's everything that you need and nothing you don't. Short and to the point, open your ears, blink and you'll miss it. Thank you Jerry!

Mister miculek you're a huge inspiration for me seriously growing up I used to watch you and be so blown away by some of your shots when I was young I thought you were something like a superhero now as an adult I respect the amount of hard work to get as far as you are you're still a huge inspiration PS you remind me of a real-life Burt Gummer from tremors LOL
ANY firearm malfunction should make you white as a ghost and never trust that with your life again, ever. Ok for playing on the range ONLY. Only guns that have never once failed me were revolvers minus a couple of duds, my grandpas Winchester .30.30 1894 and my one custom built 1911 .45 combat commander I had commissioned in 1984. My 1911 has a 4 ounce trigger job. No joke. I've run about 1/3 of the ammo Jerry has run downrange. Yes, it's dangerous as hell, but that's what a gun is supposed to be.
