I remember when that hair style was invented in the early 90's in New York. It started when NY black barbershops where cutting afro blowouts with a taper. Puerto Rican guys wanted in on that style and the barbers started spraying and and putting gel in their hair so it would have the same look with a taper. I remember young latino guys coming into my barbershop and getting it. Even some young arab guys. When that hairstyle became popular with young latino guys then young Italian guys started rocking that style. The only thing is that when that style started getting played out with blacks and latinos the Italians never let it go. They rocked it until it became their trade mark..lol
Were the early '90s your favorite part of the decade? I wonder if the Hispanic dude from the episode of Everybody Hates Chris when Rochelle was trying to cut back on eating chocolate turtles & Chris' score in Asteroids got beat had this same hairdo.
i actually see more Latin and black men rock this more in the last decade than anyone else. I think white guys avoid it because of the Jersey Shore association but I personally like it. There’s just other hairstyles for those guys to try and gel isn’t as popular with them as say pomade
"It takes me about tweny fhive minutes ta do mah hai'. it comes out perfect every single time. theres no way ahm goin to jersey without mah hai' jel." his accent kills me.
remarkable how he has so much control with aerosol spray. very talented. every time i try to use hairspray it goes in my mouth. thank you Mr.D for the tutorial.
I love how there's so many people hating on him because of his hair He's actually the nicest and probably one of the most likable people on the show, lmao
Pauly D is my favorite of the entire show, however, being a guy I'm not gonna lie Jwoww is the definition of a real woman and just to die for. I've been spiking my hair for years and if my hair was long enough for a blow out like that I would do it! I just started using Spiker over Crew and the hold is 100% epic!! It doesn't move! Pauly is real and the fact that he acts his age and can separate himself from drama is awesome. The chance to hang out with the crew would be a dream come true!!
I am doing this for Halloween. I need to hit the gym and just lift heavy as much as possible. With my current body type, I can look twice a good as him.
I dont think soo If it was the case it wouldve fall out LONG ago, Paul is italian 90% of these guys go bald by the age of 25 Hes 33 now and still full of hair. Besides he has $$$ he can prevent that to happen have u ever seen a celebrity thats bald??
What if you have a very large, four inch diameter bald spot on the top of your head and a receding hairline with it? When I put the spiker on the back and raise the hair up, it ends up looking like a golf hole... I do have a black lab though, who sheds a lot of hair..... I was thinking that i could collect his hairs around the house and fill the hole with them to cover up the bald spot.... I am guessing that since the hair hardens like concrete with the 2 gallons of hairspray I use that the hair from the lab would stay inside the hole and cover up my bald spot.... Is that a possible solution? For reference, I kind of look like George Castanza…. How would George achieve the blow out?
@makeupbynight I have the blowout. I dont use the spiker stuff. Its not really needed and it just weights down my hair. I do use got2b glued freezing spray. If you stand in the under the shower and wipe your hands gently over the top of your hair most of it will drain off and then after a little bit of scrubbing with shampoo
An idea for Jersey Shore 6, Go to Ibiza Town Spain. Here is a short description of nightlife during the summer (wikipedia): "Ibiza is considered a popular tourist destination, especially due to its legendary and at times riotous nightlife centred around two areas: Ibiza Town, the island's capital on the southern shore and Sant Antoni to the West." "A typical schedule for clubbers going to Ibiza includes waking at noon, early evening naps, late night clubbing, and "disco sunrises.""
