I saw him with The Beatnuts and Large Professor, great show. Jeru literally did like 3 songs and then spent 30 minutes cracking jokes, he had the crowd in tears. Not sure if that’s something he does as standard but it was not what I expected. I enjoyed it though, he’s a funny dude for real

The Damaja himself...this joint and his other hits "The prophet" and "Come Clean" were my joints back in the days, man I miss the golden era of hip hop, so much diversity in the game ! Hip hop was our last attempt at social and financial freedom . How did we lose control of our own craft? This is a pure classic. The music and the video combined is genius, yet emcees like Jeru will not be given just due. We don't honor our artists when it's time and that has to change.
