Jesca Hoop at Paste Studio NYC live from The Manhattan Center 

I am mesmerized by her voice, lyrics and overall talent to write beautiful music.

I saw Jesca in SF a few years ago, and I was amazed at her playing and singing abilities. She’s like a machine, perfect timing and perfect pitch.

All I can say is thank god for music!

She may be my favorite angelically-folksy singer since Björk. Always beautiful.

These songs are like little audio movies

Just wish there was a live version of Shoulder Charge with Lucius as in the album version. Jesca and Lucius NEED to do a whole album, their harmony is so powerful. Lucius is a force of nature as it is but Jesca has such a powerful voice in her own right, and her lyrics are a step above most. One can dream.

So wish the vocals were mixed a bit more on top of the instruments. The thing I love the best about Jesca’s is the subtle way her dictation forms each word. Her tone is like a smooth shot of Scotch.
