Wait, hold on a moment. Why on earth are people saying that this was bad? Or that her voice is too quote on quote "powerful"...? What the fuck. This was great. I have no idea who she is, but she did a stupendous job here.
I loved this, would love to hear Jess sing more like it. Great band and thought the backing singers were amazing, so very often not given due praise 👏👏👏👏👏👏😍
My only complaint is that her voice is too powerful for the song. But something I always notice is that she is one of the only artists of our generation who sounds just as good, if not better, live. While I love artist like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and other mainstream performers who are extremely in right now, they never sound the same live. Jess ALWAYS does.
I've seen a few of her covers on here. is the song they're singing a mystery. She never knows the words and I'm pretty sure it's throwing off her performance. idk if I was covering something I'd practice a bit beforehand and get confident I know the words/timing.
the nerves showed during the verses as she sung a bit flat and when she was improvising it was ok but it didnt work out in my opinion but the band was so good and i fucking loved the drummer and the guitarists it was awesome and i agree with everyone saying it didnt suit her voice.
I love this Jess Glynne is my girl. Yes her voice is powerful but this cover was good for her. The back up singers could have toned it down a few. They were trying to over power her voice.

Idk if it’s just me I feel like Jess isn’t well prepared for this song, like she can do much better with the cover but she seems a bit uncertain in some parts. Towards the end you guys can see she was looking at the backup Singers instead of focusing on singing, in the middle of singing she was looking down at a script or something. Not saying she’s a bad singer, I just feel like she wasn’t prepared for doing this cover. I’ve seen a lot of covers of Jess and she has done a very good job in all of them, she never looks at other things when she was covering a song especially when she was putting a emotions into it. I can’t say for sure this song doesn’t suit her because I believe she didn’t get a chance to release her true potential on this song. But I can say that she is a good singer
First time I've honestly disliked a video, I love The Weeknd so so much, if you're going to cover one of his songs, do it properly. Her voice just doesn't work with the type of song.
Yeah this song wasn't for her. But she did a good job, but I don't think she was quite rehearsed as much as she could have been with this song. I saw she took a cue from the backup singers... Instrumentally though, ON POINT :)
