Because this wasn’t the beginning of a conversation for him. It was the end of one. When he called her at graduation she said “I think I may have loved you but I just need to get over it. This was him finally responding and letting her know that those feelings were reciprocated. Knowing what we do about Jess’s upbringing, I’m 90% certain she was the first person who he ever said those words to. I don’t think he knew what to say or do next.
Ahh Jess. He was such a work in progress. So messed up emotionally in his teens. He was great with Rory except for all the times he was terrible for her. But by his twenties he was the one more emotionally stable. And by his thirties, oh yeah, this fixer upper was ready. That future Jess was the one I was holding out for.
Yeah, Logan felt more like a journalist who read news reports and articles while Jess felt more bookish like Rory, but I do agree though Jess was so toxic it drives me up a wall he is the fan favourite
I fucking adore Jess, but this is the worst thing he ever pulled. Incredibly unhinged and weird and kinda funny in a messed up way from our perspective, but from Rory's? Dude I would've broken down crying right there in the middle of the road.
I agree that this is bad but I think the worst thing he pulled was at the party where he and Dean got into a fight, when he couldn’t take a no for a no.
Someone prettier? Who? He loved her the whole time, but was never able to portrait it in a healthy way. Even in AYITL he was still in love with her even after 9 years.
no dean was worse because he got angry at her for not saying it back right away but jess didn't feel that way he just loves her and wanted to say it even if she didn't love him back that's why he left here after he said it
