This guy is affiliated with Teiken Gym in Japan so he knows what's going on in Japan and he's running away from Japanese boxers. He won't fight super lightweight Ioka or Tanaka. Even if he moves up to bantam, he will run away from Nakatani. Teraji, a light flyweight, is moving up to flyweight. Bam runs away and noy back to fryweight division. because he will be afraid of Teraji. Bam has been running away from Japanese champions. He can't make history. Gonzalez and Estrada also ran away from Inoue and Nakatani. These guys' fight will never be "history". Gonzalez, Estrada, and Rodriguez are fighters in the league below Inoue and Nakatani.

Cristian Gonzalez showed how to beat Bam. You need to have the footwork necessary to turn with him and take away the punching angles. It also helps to be tall with a reach that can reach Bam when he thinks he's out of range. Gonzalez did both of those things and gave him a really hard fight, including breaking his jaw. It's the same requirement for beating Lomachenko. I can think of at least one fighter who can do it even better. Junto Nakatani. Estrada will not be good enough to beat Bam. Bam will eventually move up to bantamweight but Nakatani would most likely be at super bantam by that time. If he does fight Nakatani, I favor the Japanese fighter. He's got the frame to go as high as lightweight in the future. The lighter weight classes are really exciting because of fighters like these two.
