The late braking is what makes most people crap their pants. I’m sure every passenger thinks “we’re going to fast to make this turn, we’re gonna die”!!! She tried not to scream but it just kept coming out. What a genuine reaction.
nah best one I seen was when a nascar driver had a ride along in a V8 supercar and although he was use to the V8 power he still was packing it on how they get thrown around a track
That was SO GREAT I had to watch it twice!!! If I was the passenger, all you would see are my eyes wide, and the biggest smile the entire time! what a treat!
The belt tightening, visor down *V8 WAIL OF RPM* is just golden! She meant those thumbs up, he meant to give her a run for her money. In the end, a most epic in car shot of a driver totally in their element and a passenger questioning their own sanity on those thumbs up. but she didnt bitch, seems like she was more shocked at the sensory overload. Those cars are kinda docile sounding at idle but 8-8800 RPM in a flash of a half second takes ya by surprise, and then he stayed on it. Grade A, number 1, badass of badassery onboards....🤣🤣🤣
Been in 3 of these hotlaps, 2 with Lowndesy and 1 with Whincup. Her reactions are the exact same as mine, just without the screams lol. Heading down the back straight at QR and I remember thinking "there's no way you're going to make that turn..." 2 seconds later he's downshifting and with a flick of the wrist we have gone around turn 3 and are headed 180° the other way. As someone else said, these guys are true athletes beyond the "normal" persons comprehension. Credit to her, she took it like a champ. 🤙
Most people do not understand the physical condition these drivers have to be in to endure these kind of forces for hours at a time. Athletes by any definition of the word.
Props to Jesse for having a good eye for camera framing, many onboard RU-vid videos have the GoPros badly placed or incorrectly set exposure wise. You either get a great view of the top of the windshield or you see nothing outside the car the minute some semblance of sun appears.
Lol I have Jesse's front end and hood in my man cave and a wheel, have driven a v8 myself and plenty of go carting it's just what you do adrenaline and the love wash away any fears!!! Miss Jesse & wish him well spewing he is not with Haymen Reese don't hear much of him these days love the vid reminds me when I took my wife for a drive in Thailand in the wet in a double seater go cart exact same reaction just more screaming 😂😂😂😂😂

Took the GF to the GC500 yesterday. She's never seen motorsport live in her life. I've seen tons, all the Aussie circuits over 30+ years. Yesterday was fantastic. Been a few years between drinks on that regard. It blew her brain..... 😛😛😛 I'm going to buy her a V8 Supercar Experience at Norwell.
If I got a lap with a professional driver I would just be sitting there lapping it up and loving it. Nothing to be scared about. I love also how he isnt moving at all but she is all over the shop scared out of her wits.
Sit back relax and enjoy, the guy driving does this for a living, he wasn't really trying, I've been for a hot lap around a race track and a rally stage, it's genuinely exhilarating and a pleasure to sit alongside these guys

I agree with you about the late braking comment. Went for a ride with a guy from a local sports car club many years ago. I was crapping myself for the first minute until I realised what his car and his skills were capable of. Then I was laughing the rest of the way !
That was awesome she was screaming while giving thumbs up. They don't look like they're going very fast when you're watching from the grandstands but once you get in them it's a little different story.
Love how she give a single thumbs up before start up and just before entrance to track, but gives two thumbs up screaming while being forced up to the other part of her seat😜
Driver is cooler than the Stig sipping a milkshake in the shade…love how composed he is while she’s choking on fear over there. 😆 😎 To her credit, if you’ve never been on a road course before with a fast driver: the G forces these things can produce, especially under late breaking and fast corner speeds, is enough to make normal people spontaneously vomit. 🤢 🏎 👍
My favourite parts are when she closes her eyes trying to hide from reality then the gforce of the brakes snaps her out her dream world like a dear in headlights.
BWAHAHAHAHA! That was so fucking hilarious! You could see she wanted to hit his leg but was too bloody embarrassed! Funny thing though, I had a ludicrous launch in a Tesla X recently and almost fainted with the torque! I wasn’t expecting it and actually had tunnel vision closing in, but he slowed down and I remembered to breath. Damn it was a freaking fast car.
Lol.. It's impossible to know how it feels to sit inside a racecar even if you can get a sense as a bystander.. First time i went with my buddy inside his fathers heavily tuned racecar i thought my skeleton was to leave my body.. Man i laughed so hard at this video i got tears in my eyes, sorry.. but job well done!!! I know what you went through and that horrifying feeling you're about to die any second Cheers
