He went into this song with the right energy. As a long time fan of Modest Mouse I can easily say this is the best cover of any of their songs ever performed. Much respect to this man..
It's easy. It's just an open C chord starting on the 7th fret, then an open C chord on the 3rd fret, then a C bar chord on the 3rd fret, then a regular open C chord. Then just play the top strings of those chords for the 2nd/muted part of the chorus.

No offense, but what's with the Jesse Lacey haters always commenting on his videos, especially the cover ones? You make one comment on how you were pleased by his take on the song and all of these douchebags decide to voice their "opinion" on how "IT'S NOT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL!" and then decide to lecture people on how it isn't. Music is all about perception and what grabs at you, so if this doesn't "do it" for you then why would I or anyone else who appreciates it care of your opinion?
