I love the character, but can totally see the show without him. In several instances it was like "he's my partner" but like why? I had the same question as those guys "Whay are you here?" Why are you still here?
Saul Goodman did the same thing. He was in more episodes and got his own show all because of how the author did the show. It also improved the show. Breaking bad as is really is peak. It all makes sense.
@@Jade-ux1kd bro if ur only counting 2 characters than it's not impressive that he survived. I know Flynn and Skyler are minor-ish characters but Saul got a whole ass spinoff show
If you think about it, Jesse was the only character to be that deeply involved with Walter who doesn't die or end up in prison by the end of the show. Supposedly Skyler didn't go to prison either, but they tried to throw her in as an accomplice which she technically was even if she was reluctant and never morally agreed with it.
Wowww so he’s so good at acting he went from a character that’s being killed off before the second season to being the guy who got away AND THEN had his own movie. That’s amazing.
i heard the writer say it should have been 8eps first series. Hollywood writers strike. he watched footage again and decided he was too good.(commentary over a breaking bad ep I think it was.) My fav character in my fav show.
And he saw how great Aaron and Bryan played off with each other and thought it would be a shame if Jesse died. Krazy-8 was also suppose to die in the first episode, but everyone really like working with Max Arciniega so that's why he survived. But in that case, they had no choice but to kill him off.
Damn good thing they kept him on because in many instances he carries the series. Goes to show you that directors and producers don't know as much as they think. He and the main character truly were a team as seen so many times throughout the entire series.
Perfect director immaculately perfect show perfect perfect writing perfect characters , everything is flawless , definition of a immaculately flawlessly perfect show.
So good for the dudes resume. They did that with Ragnar in Vikings, he was supposed to die by the end of season one but they like the actor (Travis Fleming) so much that they rewrote a large part of the script and made him the main character for the first five seasons.
The exact opposite happen with tuco actually, he's supposed to be the main bad guy in the next season but because the actor already signed to other show, he has to die early
Daryl Dixon and Jesse Pinkman are not only somewhat similar characters, but they were only supposed to be in the first season of their respective shows (both on AMC), won over audiences because of their performances, and then became some of the most beloved television characters ever. Also the fact that both Aaron Paul and Norman Reedus didn't have much acting experience before their roles also is another comparison
You can tell he was a character that was meant to die early on, biggest signal for any character dying in a modern show is the use of slurs. Once they decided to keep him, all those naughty words went away.
Walter, Mike, Gus, Hank, and more died. And Saul got caught eventually. It's funny how Jesse was supposed to die, but Aaron Paul is so awesome that the creators made his character escape and live
