Jesse complaining about caster robes is exactly how every DNC main has felt since it's release. Every single piece of aiming gear is catered only to bard and machinist. Even if you go further back a lot of the old sets are clearly catered to machinist in particular.
Definitely aimed toward machinist. I don't like half of the bard sets out there, with a few stand out good ones. Not a fan of this one either. Luckily, I really love the scholar gear this time around, including the book!
I'm no fashionista, but it feels like head and chest are the only parts of outfits they really seem to get creative with. Boots are boots, pants are pants, gloves are gloves. I rarely even look at them anymore. It's always "how does the top look on me". Maybe there's just no room for creativity in the other parts? Bit of a shame.
8:34 The Radiant’s Mail of Casting is the best casting chest plate, especially for red mages. Awesome coat. Side note: as a reaper I feel your pain though. Being trapped with maiming is torture as so much of it is designed as heavy ass ugly plate mail for dragoons and almost no grim coats and cloaks that align with reaper and the helmets are even worse. There’s like one half decent hat and it isn’t even dye-able. Just absolutely awful. Reaper not having access to the scouting version of the radiant coat is a crime in of itself.
Remember when someone asked, how does the team determine which characters get a minion, and Yoshida, said its usually when a character has served their story purpose? And now Krile has a minion!?
Previous expansion's glowy weapons require doing Another Aloalo Island (Savage). It drops a tome that you turn in for a material, which you then turn in with the weapon to get the one with vfx attached.
