What a nice well spoken young man. Joe Simon would be proud! Getting ShieldMaster now on kickstarter

Hi, Jess! Thank you for your father's Shieldmaster issues! I recently read your Shielddmaster issues! They transported back to the Prize Comics era of the early silver age! I need to get back to NYC to hangout with you again! A great interview. I'm glad your creating these memories working with your dad! Joe is a legend! I just read an issue of Bullseye and it was so fun!

Nice interview. It would be interesting to know if Jesse Simon and his father have any plans to revive any of the old Simon/Kirby characters such as Blue Bolt, Bullseye, Fighting American, Stunt Man, Boys Ranch, Captain 3-D and so on. I could see the potential for Kickstarter campaigns for one shot stories or limited series for some of these characters and building a shared universe...maybe even trying to get talent like John Byrne, Walt Simonson, Jerry Ordway, Roy Thomas, etc. on board for drawing and writing some projects. There could also be potential for collaborating with the Jack Kirby family and getting some revivals of Captain Victory, Silver Star, etc., published--unless Dynamite Comics still has the license to those characters. Lastly, it would be interesting to know what the status of The Fly is these days...I thought I had read at some point that Archie Comics had returned the rights to The Fly to Joe Simon, but Archie Comics retained the Rights to Fly-Girl. If the Simon family has the rights to the character, it would be great to see a revival of him.
