Everyone needs a friend to show you the way. The underground is the underground for a reason. Without that person, you will live a life unknown. Welcome friend
Damn, this is some REALLY GOOD MUSIC! Jesse's voice is so silky, mellifluous, and the guitar rips the fabric of the unified field, and the drums and bass tow the movement of time and space...man, i stumbled across an exquisite gem, pristine, magical, and yet remains beautifullt mysterious ❤
Holy (BLEEP)-in' (BLEEP!!) This is the sound that ALL music has been missing since 1969! THANK YOU JESSIE and company! I was born in the tail end of the 70's and grew up lsitening to varieties of music, but this really brought me back! INSTANT LIKE!
I was chauffeur picking them up in airport and drove them (her and the guitar player Phil) to the festival(Roskilde), and after the concert i was also the driver, we ended up in christiania , its a "freetown" build by hippies on a old military facility where wheed is ok;= and they were totally nice people all the way:)
So many can get lost in the music, but with Jesse, I feel that I'm found and I'm the only one in her world when she sings and she finds what my soul so wants to say.
Holy crap. I met this girl decades ago where we grew up. Knew some people she hung out with mostly dead heads. Always thought she was sweet. Very mysterious and of course beautiful. Fantastic band.
I love, I like it all, what a wonderful group, a historical singer in the world of music, around the world love this, as if it were songs of our country, beautiful singer with an exceptional voice, I'm a fan, and musicians also, at times the electric guitar with his sound "Doooon DoDoDoooon" ... Thank you, and long life to you all! (Alex, French)
i'm so agree with you, powerfull voice, good music, the lead guitar is awesome, the drummer is high, the bass is groovy... A FAN from belgium.. happY 17
I interviewed Jesse several years ago on Vinyl Writers about her fifth album that she has been writing and recording. Marble Son is in my all-time top 10 albums (my favorite of 2011 and one of my favorites of that decade).
God!, I can't wait for this band to rise from the ashes once again and soar free across the shores! Saw them here in San Luis Obispo at the Steinberg Gallery with The Slender Means & Rocky Volato. Such splendor in the fuckery that night! Hope you're going to feel up some feelings soon. J
Along with Phil, my favorite guitarists are the likes of Richard Thompson, Nels Cline, J Mascis, Neil Young. Phil is right up there within those guys. He’s a great rock composer!
I don't really hear the Grace Slick similarities....but I do hear some with Nico. She has this slight german like accent which is weird cuz she's from Seattle.
