Jessie and Jay Park are Korean-American rappers both of them are from the US! Jay Z actually signed Jay Park! He is one of the best rappers in K-pop! You have to watch his freestyles, he is SICK! Love your reaction as always!
Jessi & Jay Park are considered KPOP rappers/artist. But they are both American from Korean parents. Jessi is from New York but raised in Jersey and at the age of 15 her parents gave her money, and paid for her own place in Korea so she could shape the rapping career she wanted. This girl has worked hard and pushed through a lot of BS. They both have interesting stories. Jessi was the first artist signed under PNATION which belongs to Psy (the Gangnam style guy...now he owns a multimillion $$ production company and so far his roster is just straight 🔥🔥🔥. It's new and Jessi was the first to debut killing it so everyone is HYPED waiting to see what his other artist do. Hyuna his other female artist is known to be mad sexy as hell in like her movements, topics, how she dresses...she gives me kpop modern day Asian Marilyn Monroe vibes lol..shes more of a singer though and she was the girl in the Gangnam Style video dancing with him so this was a sweet life coming full circle for her. She was part of an older group called 4Minute. Psy also signed her boyfriend E-DAWN who was part of Pentagon after they were fired from their company for dating and keeping it secret from the big boses in Cube together on the same day making Psy a kpop fandom Hero and saving the best! It was a whole mess...sounds ridiculous to us but the no dating rule is very strict with kpop idols. And E-DAWN is a rapper as well. Jay Park is a whole other story...he really does own multiple multimillion $$$ companies 2 in Korea for music. He's signed under Jay Z w/ Roc Nation here in America amongst many other things. He's very successful in his own right.
Check out: GUCCI WHO DAT B DOWN ......anything you find on her y'all will LOVE. She's tough and she kills it all. SN: Shes also a great singer so look out for those. ^__^
@@rumi1379 yeah but Jay Park is absolutely not considered a kpop rapper, he's khiphop, no shade to kpop rappers by the way, there are some really good ones out there.
they're both Americans' Jessi was born in New York raised in Jersey moved to Korea when she was 15. she travels back and forth from Korea to America; Jay park was born in Seattle
THANK YOU SO MUCH🥂💝🥂... Jessi from the Bronx, NY... Jay Park from Seattle, Wash. Both went through hell in Korea to get to this point. Thay made it a chip on their shoulders ... went back to S. Korea and kicked azz. Both made their way over last 7 years by all different means. Jay Park was expelled from his boy band in (JYP) and S. Korea over some remark he made at 15 years old. Changing tires back home part time. Came home one day and started singing a cover on You Tube... got a million views in one day. He went back to S.Korea and blew the roof off the country. Built AOMG & Higher Ground from the bottom up. Lifted so many underground artist including Americans. Signed with ROC Nation to distribute his US songs. The boy is bad. Jessi just signed with PNation and these are her debut songs with them. She also left (JYP) because they didn't support or release her music properly.
actually, Jessi was born in 88 in NY, raised in NJ and moved to Korea at 15. Jay was born in 87 near Seattle and moved to Korea at 14 I think. Anyway, they are both Korean Americans who had to move to Korea because the US music industry wouldn't give them a chance. Not that Korean is more accepted in the US (primarily due to BTS) they are able to make English songs...actually Jay has been signed with ROC Nation for a few years now (but he also owns 2 of his own entertainment companies) you can read more about both of them on Wikipedia. I am ARMY but honestly Jessi and Jay both have some amazing songs you should check out...in my opinion, they are both phenomenal rappers.
Jay park is the freakin GOAT! CEO of 2 record labels and signed to jay-z’s label as well. And Jessi is the freakin boss! Both are Korean Americans RAISED in AMERICA before moving to Korea... smh “didn’t know American influence was so big over there...” 🙄🤦🏾♀️ korea isn’t a 3rd world country man... I love you guys but sometimes I just have to smh
Jessi and Jay Park are both American. Jessi is from jersey/new York. And Jay Park was born and raised in L.A. there are a lot of American/Canadian/Australian/Chinese/Thai and other countries all on k pop...
This is not kpop. You’re confusing kris Wu that has a song with Travis Scott. Jay park is the goat. Also obviously there is American culture in it they ARE both American. Her from New Jersey and him from Seattle.
Jessi was actually raised in Jersey. She left when she was 15 to start her music career. & Jay is from Seattle, so yeah their music has heavy American influences.
I love your reaction to our queen jessi and also to j park but dude I thought the guy from at your back guys is just a picture 😂😂 cause he not moving until you not call him 😂😂✌🏻
I'm sure everyone is telling you guys~~~ but yeah, they're both Americans, came to S. Korea to pursue their individual careers in the industry. Jay Park used to be in a KPOP boy group called 2PM and Jessie has always been a hiphop B! This is not KPOP, btw... they both have had very interesting journeys and have struggled a lot getting to where they are now. Jay Park is a BOSS. Jessie is a savage, swaggy B! love them both! enjoyed your reactions!
No It is not Kpop. It is hip hop. They don’t like just saying khiphop because to them it just hip hop they just so happen to be Korean Americans. But they are fire!
haha jay park and jessi are american as cheeseburgers and apple pie. Artists like Bts would have no clue on the analogy of " blue diamonds lookin like a crip gang" verse.
I really liked your reaction to Black pink's cover of Sure Thing so I decided to check this one out. They are considered K hip hop in the Korean music scene. Both of them were born in America (Jay Park is from Seattle and Jessi is from NYC/New Jersey) which is why they have the Americanized vibe/sound. Also it was Kris Wu (Chinese rapper/singer/actor) who has the song with Travis Scott just so you know. I really liked your reaction to Jessi & Jay Park because the both of them are so talented af. Definitely react to more of those two!!! Fun fact: Jay Park is signed to Roc Nation and owns two labels (H1ghr music & AOMG) in South Korea
Hip hop, rap, r&b first showed up integrated into Korean music in early 90s. If you like r&b and haven't checked him out yet, Dean is amazing ("Bonnie & Clyde" or his duet with Eric Bellinger "I'm Not Sorry", or the collab "Bermuda Triangle".) Worth a listen.
If you really want to see how much American influence there is check out BeWhy "Gottaasede" ( has Kanye influence... he is lyrically genius the MV is just another level)
