That's my favorite part! Like she said, there are so many korean idols who do plastic surgeries, hide that fact and pretend like they were born that way. And then so many kids believe they are ugly and have selfsteem issues because they don't look like that. One of the most frustrating parts of this video is that they titled it "Jessi's breast surgery Confession". Her whole point was about how people are always too scared in this industry to disrespect someone to their face, but they have no problem doing it in songs and behind their backs. THAT was her point. This video was about being able to not only talk the talk, but walk the walk. NOT about a "breast surgery confession". The entertainment industry is so focused on sexualizing women while simultaneously shaming them and so often use it as a distraction so their audiences don't notice that they're actually cowards that don't want their manhood threatened. Get out of the way while people like Jessi show you what it really means to be "hard" and a badass. Anyways. Go Jessi, you Queen.

Hypocrisy at it's finest! I think a lot of Koreans dislike the idea that someone might be feeling great and confident in their body or being happy with their look (it's unbelievable to them). So that's why a) it's so common for people to judge each others appearance openly without being asked and b) won't stop these people from continuing to do so even after someone changes their appearance. I really wished people would mind their own business. You don't owe anybody anything!

Exactly 🤦, but honestly its really annoying how crazy Korean beauty standards are and how much they have normalized the need to have plastic surgeries, I mean there's nothing wrong with wanting to change the way you look, and it really is nobody else's business but I am not sure if the quest to look perfect ever ends, people should be encouraged to feel beautiful in their natural skins. Anyways, let's all appreciate Jessi for always being real and openly talking about double standards in the industry.

You can definitely see the cultural differences here. On a Western talk show, this would maybe get a few laughs, but the hosts and other guests would be no where near as uncomfortable as this. Not saying it's a bad thing, it's just most definitely different.

+kpop space then why is Korea's life satisfaction literally last on the OECD of the world's countries?? why are their suicide rates, depression & rates people who get plastic surgery so high?? because Korea is a very close minded society with strict values. even Koreans recognize this & wish it was different. statistics show that's the one thing many Koreans hate about Korea, how judgmental even strangers are. the Korean immigrants in my school, no matter how much they miss Korea, say they enjoy the acceptance in America. people like you who base all of Korea off things like kpop (which most Koreans don't even listen to) need to wake up lmao.

+kpop space lmao no. the fact that there's so much plastic surgery is because Korean society values appearances way too much, you have to even submit your picture for a job application. not accepting people's physical differences is being closed minded. if you check out shows which focus on problems of Korean people (something like Hello Counselor idk lol) 90% of problems revolve around people not being accepting of them, society treating them as unusual because of some difference or something along those lines. idk where you got your info from but even if you just search online, every study or analysis of Korea, shows its a society with still very old fashioned & conservative values. take it or leave it. let's end this, bye.

Jessi is very Americanized, so for someone like me to listen to her talk, I see nothing wrong with it. Also, I've been an avid from of kdramas and kpop for a very long time, over a decade, and I am very much into the korean culture and I am fully aware that her carefree and honest nature doesnt really suit the culture, but MAD RESPECT for Jessi for being upfront about what she has done and being proud of it. I think if you're going to plastic surgery, it should be because you want it and you're going to be proud of showing it off. That really makes her a beautiful person because she's not ashamed, she doesn't hide it, and she's proud of it.

konnichiwa Yes, hip-hop is a music genre, and also a lifestyle, but it's not about wearing certain clothes, having a certain appearance, and acting like you care about no-one and you're better than everyone else. B-Free also made fun of the BTS guys for wearing make-up because that's something girls do. How does that affect their music in any way? That doesn't make them any less hip-hop. That's just picking on their personal life. He's trying to act like he's something different and special, but if he keeps directing everything people do then everyone will turn out to be the same as him. I'm very sure he doesn't want that.

i heard that gna was known for her boobs back when she was in highschool but i wouldnt know lol. i would be suprised by hyosung bc she's always had a fuller body but then again she did lose some weight but her boobs didnt decrease??? and hyuna has had tits since wgs days but when she got too skinny a while back they got small too but now shes gaining weight and they are big again. i definitely think tiffany got them done which is fine (they look good!) :) i've heard that even tho plastic surgery is popular in korea breast implants contribute a very small percentage to that industry /welp ive talked too much

I appreciate that she is open about it and not trying to hide it like all the others. If you're ashamed of it, you shouldn't get plastic surgery. And if you get, just be honest about it. That will cause less trouble then when you hide it and they find out themselves later. If you get plastic surgery, you should stand up for it. I may not be a fan of plastic surgery for it is "plastic" and I stand for all things organic and natural. However, I LOVED her response towards her boob job hate. She paid for them she gets to feel confident with them. I personally hate it too when women hide their fake boobs and lie about the surgery. That's even worse. For a woman that comes from a family of curvy women - and not having curves at all compared to them - have always felt ashamed of myself ever since I lost 30+ lbs. I had a D cup and now I went down to a small C and it took me a really long time to embrace it. I simply love Jessi's boldness.
