You took everything that makes this character great and put it in a video. God, she is so realistically sad and lost. She was thrust upon something she didn’t want but she accepted it and that’s great. But of course there’s always the asshole who has to ruin it for everyone. Kilgrave and Trish!
Haha... yeah, now that season 3 is out, I really don't think it got any better for Jess. Like... she has literally no one. Even in the first season, she had Trish and then Malcolm and Luke, in the second season she lost Trish and Luke is no longer in the picture, but she got others, she HAD others, but now? She broke up with Carlos, Vido only was in the first episode, so that's probably a dead end, Malcolm slept with Trish (and Jess clearly got over it in a way, she likes him and believes in him, but they'll never be true friends again), she lost her whole family again (and for good, this time), none of the Defenders are there, Luke has his own problems and the others never were in the series in the first place, so she probably doesn't speak with them, Erik is nice but is too close to all of what happened (she helps him get in touch with the detective she knows and Erik probably likes her a lot, but I really don't think it can ever happen, it's too painful for her), Trish is gone, Dorothy is gone (even though she was never there for her in the first place), and like... that's it? Ohh, and Jeri tried to DEFEND the person she hated more than anything. She played a huge part in Trish going crazy, (if she wasn't defending Dorothy's killer, Trish would've probably fought the fear and the urge to kill him), and that's really the end. She moved out, but she didn't start a completely new life, she stayed in NYC. She is in a dark place, and she is way too damaged to climb out of it all alone. She doesn't have a choice. She'll never love anyone, she'll never let anyone close enough, because people die around her, because of her, and she can't take it. She never could. Yeah, sorry, if my English is a bit (or very) messed up, I just had to get this out. xdd
Can she just get a break?! Can she just get ONE break?! I don't think I've ever seen crueler writers (at least in the superhero genre)... Amazing video! :)
She went through so much. I hope there will be someone at her corner whenever it gets harder for her... Note: I rewatch this after the disastrous She-Hulk which sucks to no end... I don't understand why people failed to make good female character. While here, Jessica deserves so much better...
In 2017-18 I'we watched this serial for the first time...and now it's the end of 2023 - the more ai grow, more I understand Jessica's hurt from this life. Such a strong and tragical charachter
It's so sad, all her mother needed was Jessica. She was getting better. And it would have been enough for Jessica to start over somewhere else with her mom. But there was too much damage around them. Trish made sure of that. And holy hell, Jessica got blamed for everything no matter what.
@@canseeno1 exactly. I was trying to see or understand Trish's point of view but i just can't. I don't think i will ever forgive her. How will Jessica?
@@jeromewill4673 Jessica isn't any better then the so call villains along every single one of the Marvel TV serie heroes at the exception of Luke Cage I guess.
@@ashiel035 Trust me, I kno. But Trish is supposed to Jessica's friend and she killed her mother. They were like sisters. Trish has been pressuring her to be "hero" when Jessica clearly doesn't want to be. And she judges Jessica too harshly in this season.
@@jeromewill4673 true she is a bit of a bitch but again like I said so is everyone else, it's hard to look at some of those who claim to be good guys and yet they act like total assholes to everyone else.
Wow, good work 🙂 JJ deserves more.. I thought she would be with her mom somewhere far, but writers have other plan.. Hope, she will stay with Oscar, she deserves to be happy after what she has gone through, more than anyone.. Btw, what program did use to you make this video please? 🤗
I prefer her miserable and damaged as I relate to that more, I don't understand happy people, its why I love characters like JJ, Red Hood, Huntress, Deadshot ect ect, eternally bleak characters. Also JJ gets married to Luke Cage in the comics and they have their daughter Danielle. I quite like her and Oscar though, they have chemistry and he does bring her a real sense of normality that no one else has offered her in life. I trust the Marvflix shows to not do any Oliver and Felicity style soap opera bullshit that takes over the show.
