This has got to be the best group performance in the history of AI. It sounds like it was rehearsed for a paying show! AMAZING! Plus it's interesting how each of these contestants have made it into the top 10 in their seasons respectively.
I have seen every episode of AI and this performance- nothing can even come close in ALL the seasons. And it was just fucking ridiculous that none of them even won!
I have tbh, Candice's voice really stood out to me when I first saw this performance last year. I love Jessica just as much but the smoothness and tone of Candice's voice was unparallelled, IMO. Regardless, both Jess and Candice are so very talented and can sing circles around most of the popular singers now. I'm glad they are both getting the recognition they deserve!
I remember watching this for the first time and thinking how Candice stood out and was my new favorite. Then she got cut and I was like. um. what. Lol.. & now she's the SEASON 12 CHAMP! She so deserves it
THIS is the Jessica that is the closest to being a unique superstar in the industry. Shed the latter season's Idol sappy influence and pressure to fit their plastic factory, and capture this tougher, swaggering presence. What got most viewers rooting for her. Only her Prince concert cover gets close. The best trio performance and right up there for the whole 11th season.
This group was the three most talented on american idol even if deandre got 7th place his voice was unique not alot of male singers can sing like that .
I finally read the lyrics to this song and yet this has to be the best rendition ive heard... its groovy and love the melody.. they sang this with feeelings and attitude! Jessica slayed this one like always!
the falsetto's timing was off a tad ,not to mention she didn't leave herself enough breath to finish her verse 1:27.... and 3:32 was sassy, but it kind of changed the vibe of the song. meanwhile check-out Candice finnish this verse 2:55 while in a backpeddle. Come on folks,Jes is the bomb,but to say she out sang Candice in this joint is flatt-out crazy! In fact Deandre and Candice get the highlight of the song with this crazy transition 1:35.
I completely disagree. They were both good although Jessica out sang Candice in this performance. Jessica has better annunciation, and vibrato with that falsetto. She differentiated herself from Candice with those singing techniques. Jessica was just better at presenting it to the judges. Candice wasn't ready for season 11 but she is ready for season 12. Candice on the other hand is killing season 12. Her runs are amazing. They remind me of a waterfall, smoothly gliding down.
I think candice didn't get through because we already had Jessica who could growl and do crazy runs for the girls...Even though it would've been fun to see what she could've done during Whitney night and so on, but in the end we saw what won and none of this amazing voices did...Anerica's ability to see talent is soo scewed...Maybe now that both MARIAH & Nicki are on talent will get through
I can't believe they cut Candice last season, and that Philip won. I hope Jessica has a LONG and prosperous career and that this folk music fad dies soon. It was cool at first but now every song is starting to sound the same :/
anybody notice how Candice's mic is being minipulated? I dare to say she clearly out-sung' Jessica in this number! Get a friend, who never seen this, and just let him/her listen. Don't let them see ! Candice has better tone, technique and timeing!
Don't be mean. There have been amazing singers on the show who at one point didn't even make it past the auditions. Poor Pia Toscano had to audition 5 times before she made it through in season 10, and look at how talented she was. Joshua ledet and haley reinhart didn't even pass their first audition. They had to wait out a year in order to make it to hollywood.
this is really kind of a sneak preview into the level of musical creativity candice had with her song arrangements and choices in season 12 - she was living proof that artistry doesn't always equal WGWAG
Imagine if Candice moved forward.. Can't choose between Jessica, Joshua and Candice man so its for the best she didn't. Next season she was iconic anyway. Lovesong, I who have nothing and a bunch of standing ovation worthy performances
This is one of my more favorite performances on Idol. Ive only been watching 3 seasons though. I loved how they changed it up. And there is our girl Candice lighting it up.
just shut up with the comparisons....Jessica and Joshua were the best vocalists last season! Candice grew so much and was by far the best this season,on Jessica and Joshuas level now! those 3 are great

so you're trying to say that just because a contestant doesn't make it the first time around that it is the end of their career/they have no more room for improvement/growth?!! seems like you need to get educated more about music and making it out in the industry!! nearly all famous artists had to go through rejection/being turned down numerous times in order for them to improve which is what got them to where they're at today!
