Is this the same Jenny Mason from the Pickwick and Hallmark versions? It sounds just like her, but I understand her voice was altered slightly for those albums. I even think this "I Don't Know How To Love Him" might use the exact same vocal track, but at normal speed instead of slightly speeded up.
Excellent, at the beginning I thought it sounded like the movie soundtrack but I should say the movie sounds like this recording as this is older than the movie, incredible! The Gethsemani song is the only one that I don't really like, it is too flat.. in fact the singer that does JesusChrist is the one I don't like much
That's understandable. Brian Keith who plays Jesus on this recording (and previously played Annas on the original concept recording) really wanted to play Judas as he thought he didn't have the necessary vocal range needed for Jesus, however the producers picked John Goodison to play Judas and Brian Keith got the role of Jesus instead. One of the better Strange Thing Mystifying's from these early 70s cast albums, most Jesus' struggle a bit, in all part thanks to Ian Gillan's performance in 1970
ACT I Overture: 0:00 Heaven On Their Minds: 1:24 What’s The Buzz: 5:40 Strange Thing Mystifying: 7:56 Everything’s Alright: 9:47 Hosanna: 14:01 Simon Zealotes: 16:05 Poor Jerusalem: 19:17 Pilate’s Dream: 20:52 I Don’t Know How To Love Him: 20:38 ACT II The Last Supper: 30:50 Gethsemane: 34:27 Superstar: 26:24 The Crucifixion: 40:26
Brian Keith has very interesting interpretation of Jesus. It's surprisingly for me, 'cause i don't like his Annas. The sounds of organ is wonderful. And dear owners of channel, thank you for this old saved recordings, i pray on you! ☆
Not sure, there's several people listed on our website but none are credited specifically for the role of Caiaphas. www.jesuschristsuperstarzone.com/discography/kingsway-youth-opera-company-1971/
