Jesus’ so-called ‘lost years’ between the ages 12-30, are a period when his activities are not recorded in the Bible. This has resulted in much speculation. Did he visit India? Possibly Japan? What about England?
Why is it that ancient extra-biblical tradition holds that Jesus made a long and dangerous voyage to Cornwall, where he stayed at the town of Glastonbury? What does the mysterious Joseph of Arimathea have to do with this possibility? In the words of William Blake: “And did those feet, in ancient times, walk upon England’s mountains green? And was the Holy Lamb of God in England’s pleasant pastures seen?” But, most importantly, did he buy a ‘Bohlo wa’er’?
Surprisingly, the answer is this voyage was much more likely than you might think.
*This is a story inspired by both academic research and speculation on the lives and Biblical characters of St Joseph of Arimathea and Jesus Christ, as many of the details of his life have been lost to history. Still, we believe both the known facts and Spirit of the Truth are preserved in this analysis.
