Yes. You are right about this. I myself did not come to the faith until I truly opened my heart to hear it. Otherwise, I'd still be in an intellectualised philosophical and cultural appreciation standpoint but fundamentally agnostic, where the thought of praying, attending church and believing were not even on my radar. The intellectualised aspect was necessary to a point as it broke me out of dismissive atheism, but it is through His grace and being more open hearted that is essential in the end

When you see it, there is absolutely no going back. You can't go back, because everything behind you looks stupid and pointless.
Christ was upset also because they would give burnt offerings, rather than deeds. This is why He said, "I come to fulfill the law." God requires more than vain offerings. He wants your heart, mind, entire life...

Even though God gets angry, it is out of love, When people go to church for the right thing, Jesus welcomes them with open arms, as he did when the temple WAS a house of prayer, but remember, God will not welcome you into his house if you go in it for the wrong reason. God bless everyone!

@@Helga7850 While I do agree that they must repent, if they DO repent, they can be forgiven, and yes there will be consequences, but if they repent and accept Jesus, they will spend eternity with him in Heaven just like any other saved believer. God bless.

The cleansing of the Temple scene was a little contrived. People were horrified by what Jesus did and were taken completely off guard, but his disciples here were in a cheerful free-for-all to help him out. No, Jesus acted alone.

I heard someone say if Christians can memorize the Bible, let me tell, memorizing itself is not enough, we must do what the bible/God commands us to do. If these so called religious people would have known the scriptures they would have known that Jesus fulfilled every prophecy concerning where the Messiah would be born his lineage the whole thing..but they chose to condemn him because they saw him as a threat and they hated him because he exposed their sin... Jesus Christ was fully man and fully God at the same time...he was God manifest in the flesh...he wasn't born of man but of God...and he will return very soon to judge the quick and the dead and he will set up his kingdom and he will rule and reign in righteousness for a thousand years....✝️✝️✝️
If you think back to Mary and Joseph presenting Jesus in the temple as a baby, and remember the sacrifice Joseph and Mary offered they offered two doves. An offering of doves is so that if you could not afford a lamb to sacrifice you would offer two doves. Jesus being the logos, God clothed in human flesh, knew his parents, Mary and Joseph were taken advantage of by the money changers in the temple. He knew the injustice occuring in his Father's house, and took vengence on those robbing the purse of the poor. Revenge belongs to God.

Therefore, some researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and some of them are not opposed to declaring him a an ordinary philosopher, teacher. But even if Jesus were an ordinary philosopher, his disciples would be ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not dare to write about the miracles that not only Jesus, but also his disciples, could perform. If there were the Church in our time as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed, the sick are healed, where prophesied, and the dead are raised, no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. As a result, we can say that the emergence and development of christian sects and atheism was the result of the fact that over the 2000 years the Сhurch of Christ did not exist.
