Years ago I sinned willfully many times. I knew I shouldn't do it but did it. I would cry and repent. . But do it again. I am so sorry for doing it, and trappeling on Jesus. I was never in a True Bible church.. I have not done it for 7 years now I am now into Hebrews for the first time and hearing this and I am now thinking I will not able to live with Jesus. I have repented over this but I did know at the time I should not do it. I am so scared.

The context of this is the people turning back to the old covenant ways of sacrifice…

I believe we've all had times that we've done that and things we struggled with. There was a sin I struggled with when several years after I first got saved. Then I went several more years where it was not an issue. But for another two years once again I found myself going back and forth between commiting the sin and repenting again. Finally, in the last four years, I believe I have really gotten the victory through deliverance from that sin with the help of the Holy Spirit of God. Nevertheless I continue to take heed, lest I should fall!

Jesus does love you and forgive you. This passage is about rejecting that Jesus is the messiah and the way to salvation. Not just falling into any sin. You are not hopeless. You have confessed and you believe in Jesus so God is faithful to forgive you

So, if a professing Christian commits wilful sin, then there is no repentance allowed by God and no forgiveness.
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord 2 года назад
No, that's not correct. The book of 1 John was written to encourage Christians to not sin, but if they do sin, they were exhorted to confess and repent, and John promised that God would forgive them because of Jesus. 1 John 1:8, 9 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The passage in Hebrews 10 talks about those Jews who were being tempted to go back to Judaism, with the result being that they would be rejecting Jesus as the sacrifice for their sins. They would return to the animal sacrifices of Judaism. That is the particular sin being spoken of in Hebrews 10.
@KJ-gp4tt
@KJ-gp4tt Год назад
@@DavidGuzikEnduringWord No, that's incorrect. When a person seeks forgiveness they are to continue to stay away from sin, keeping in repentance. God is holy, anyone who is baptized and sins again has never known Him. Jesus cleanses from all unrighteousness, so those who keep asking, knocking, and seeking righteousness will inherit the kingdom of God. The Word of God is to be obeyed. Anyone who does not obey the Son of Man, the wrath and of God remains on him. Jesus said anyone who is not willing to carry their cross is not worthy of Him. So, as it is in 1 Corinthians 3:15 explains, disobedience results in loss and Jesus will say at judgement, "Depart from me, I never knew you." Anyone who sins practices lawlessness and is a son of disobedience. Hebrews 10:26 explains, that willful sin results in separation from God.

@@KJ-gp4tt So If we repent, sin repent sin repent sin want to do the right thing but for example give in too the flesh and the things of this world jesus will say depart from me you workers of Iniquity? But what about once being baptised in the spirit and keep sinning, and keep sinning for a year or two after being saved baptised and never sinned again for the rest or many more times will God say depart from me...?

@@sarahpierson6937 Paul is a true and accepted apostle. Read Acts written by Luke . Paul preached the true gospel of grace. For it is by grace through faith we are saved not by works so that no man may boast. We are justified by believing, saved by faith.

It is my understanding that it is Paul who is the author of Hebrews there is no calling here from Jesus. And should we not question without dumbly submitting to the words of a known deceiver of men? For just how reliable or even truthful was Paul in his tellings. In Hebrews Paul includes “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” Clearly, however, the passage of time has exposed the fallacy of his knowledge and promise.
@kimwestwood8840

Edward Longfellow Nobody really knows who the author of Hebrews is today. That is not confirmed although at one time it was thought Paul was the author. You have to remember Peter tells us that time as we know it is different than God's timing. In Revelation Jesus says I am coming quickly and that was 2000 yrs ago. Paul's epistles clearly coincide with the preaching of the gospel, Christ crucified. If you dismiss Paul you dismiss the gospels ..The book of Acts was written by Luke and it confirms Paul as an authentic apostle called by God as the preacher to the gentiles.

@@kimwestwood8840 Jesus is the recognised teacher not Paul (a self-appointed apostle) who as already noted was a deceiver of men. And i would not rely on Revelation for any reality its author was an clearly deluded.

@@edwardlongfellow5819 Jesus only preached to the house of Israel to be restored. You Jewish? If your a gentile, than by your reasoning you are damned since Paul was the apostle to the gentiles. The book of Acts was written by Luke . In it we see the apostles, although wary at first because Paul was against the believers at first, they accepted and trusted him. If you discount Paul and John as legit you may as well discount the bible as Gods council so you can start your own church and religion like Joseph Smith did. It doesnt surprise me to hear you say disregard Revelation wriitten by John, because in it it says any man taking away from or adding to scriptures is accursed. Acts 13 Paul and Barnabas Are Sent to the Gentiles 13 "Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. @@kimwestwood8840 Restore the house of Israel, what does that mean? Does it mean that many Israelites had wandered away from religion and that Jesus wanted them back to pay homage once more to God? It certainly did not mean the restoration of the Kingdom of Israel because that had long ceased to exist. Has it not been considered that the biblical chapter 'Revelation' is no more than the ramblings of a man who was imprisoned in a penal colony? I think we should take a breath and realise it was an old man, supposedly a John of Patmos to distinguish him from the author of the Gospel of John. They may be two different people as Revelation, was written in much poorer Greek than the Gospel- it has been said. John of Patmos was a man fixated with weird dreams and visions; likely, he chewed on something like Hashish to lessen to pain of his imprisonment? According to this old man, he saw an angel take hold of Satan to lock him up in a prison for a thousand years. The old man was certainly subject to hallucinations he said he heard a voice and turning around saw 7 candlesticks and standing between the candlesticks was Jesus as white as snow and out of his mouth went a sharp sword. The old man also said an angel cried out "Babylon has fallen!" Babylon Fallen? Why was the angel making such an announcement? Was it important? It certainly was if the defeat of Babylon had just happened But the fall of Babylon had taken place in 530 BCE. In chapter 5 we find "And behold...the voice of many angels around the throne...and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands and thousands saying with one voice “The Lamb that was sacrificed is worthy to be given, power, glory and strength. and riches.” Have you ever read anything more astonishingly ridiculous? The contents of Revelations are no more than the product of an unhinged mind: and I hope there are no pastors out there preaching any of this feeble-minded nonsense to their flock. As for Saul he is no more than a deceiver of men moreover he is also found to be a hypocrite. Are you not aware of these facts?
