Is there a way to drop the bottom part of the water intake so you can get the outlet closer to the water?

The depth of the unit is fixed with the height of the output, so it is what it is. but i'm leaning towards the yellow rigger as it will be a better fit. the motor i picked is a rocket 2958 4200 KV this should be interesting to say the least.
