I like that they're keeping the core challenges and semi improvised public transport aspects but the new "either team can earn any of these" aspect is really interesting...
It seems like a revisit of season 1's concept. I hope it works out because that season was easily the worst(still decent, just not up to the standard I expect since)
Jet Lag is the only game show where they basically completely rewrite the rules every season. Keeps things fresh, but also seems like an insane amount of planning and game design work. I think at some point, they'll almost certainly have to just get some fresh faces and make them re-do an old season's game exactly. Would be interesting to see how they compare.
Honestly, it seems like a revamped version of Season 2 (circumnavigate the world) Same pool of challenges for both teams? Yes. Race type of game? Yes. The only big change is that instead of all world it's US only.
Michelle is THE PERFECT guest for Jetlag!! She is one of the few people who can match Sam's crazy athletic & competitive energy, and I am SO excited to see her this season!!!!!
it is really impressive seeing as the have to do so much to produce this, but since it’s soooo good i do feel like i wait forever inbetween seasons. 😫 no hate tho, the quality is amazing and i encourage them to take as much time as they need
I think Ben and Adam said that they work full time on Jet Lag and they've got multiple people from Wendover and Nebula helping them out. They also usually shoot everything in 3-5 days so they have about two to three months for editing and planning the next season (1-2 months while the current seasons airs plus about a month until the next one premieres). And considering that they will likely regularly reuse concepts (like tag) or at least parts of the rule set, their planning should become less time intensive, so maybe they'll even try to make it a steady weekly release once they got enough relase-ready episodes lined up.
Let's go! Love to see Michelle as the guest for teh season, she is SO AWESOME on her own channel and is a competative BEAST. This will be a wild ride. Can't wait.
@@kingslyroche Her channel is @MichelleKhare and I especially like her "I tried X" series where she showcases a lot of different jobs and occupations by training for them and/or shadowing them on the job. She has done everything from butler school to SWAT training.
Seeing Michelle go from boxing to FBI training to ghost hunting to an endurance run and now this?! This season is going to be great, especially with the new mechanics!
I literally have never been more stoked for a new season of a RU-vid channel. The previous seasons have been spectacularly entertaining, and the constant tweaks keep the game fresh and fun and must see. Can't wait!
All Seasons So Far: Season 1: Connect 4 Across America Season 2: Race to Circumnavigate the Globe in 100 Hours Season 3: Tag Across Europe Season 4: Battle For America Season 5: Race to the End of the World (New Zealand) Season 6: Capture The Flag Across Japan Season 7: Tag Across Europe 2 Upcoming Season: Season 8: Arctic Escape
LETS GOOOO best show on youtube! And also I can't believe they keep coming out with new seasons so quickly. Great for us viewers of course, but I hope the team doesn't mind - it looks like an absolute TON of work to produce. Also super interested in how the rules for this season will work out, it looks really cool!
Yes!! This is so exciting. I had a feeling there might have been a first episode posted yesterday, but I’ll take a fun trailer with an awesome concept as well to get hyped for the new season. Also, the production quality continues to get better and better every season and I’m loving it.
I'm very excited for this season! I've been wanting to see a RU-vid series of someone traveling from Utqiagvik, Alaska to Key West, Florida since I heard that Utqiagvik is the most northern town in the US and now you guys are doing it!
You guys fill the space for me during the year when I’m waiting for new seasons of the Amazing Race (but don’t be mistaken, you guys are incredible, if not better. I just like travel competition shows!)
When it said arctic escape my mind first went to Longyearbyen in Svalbard. But Alaska is equally cool - unlike Ketchikan, Utqiagvik actually has snow this time.
If you get it early on nebula you also finish the season earlier meaning your only ever one episode better off, however nebula does have lots of other good features
I’m super excited for this season! Hey Sam just wanted to let you know that I did see you or someone that looked a lot like you at Denver airport on Sunday Nov. 26, 2023 at around 10:30 ish in the morning. If it was you was really cool and I’m a big fan! You guys keep up the good work!
Do you know how much its killing me knowing that it will come out today, but because of time difference I don't know exactly when😂 its driving me crazy I can't wait much longer!!
I had a dream last night that i was on Jetlag with Sam vs Ben and Adam and the game we were playing was called time zone descension The goal is that we all start at the north pole and end at the south pole with the rule that we can only descend down one time zone (i.e if you choose the new york time zone then you can only travel through states and countries that are in that time zone) There are special curse cards placed that you can place on yourself or the other team that will force them to move to a new time zone If a team traveling down new york time zone is cursed +5 then that means they have to move 5 time zones ahead to UK time zone before they can continue descending downwards or a team can choose to curse themselves let say if they are traveling down the california time zone but dont have anyway of going further down then they can use the time zone jump on themselves so they can move to the eastern time zone and continue moving down south Since all time zones begin and end at the poles that means that there are a lot of strategies for teams to descend via different time zones Also the time zones use will be the geographical/perfect time zones and not the political time zones used today (i.e china will be split across multiple time zones instead of being one continuous time) I realize that physically getting to the north and south poles will ve impossible so instead all of the teams can start in the northern most part of norway and end on either the southern most point of Africa South America or Australia (three possible end locations) Only one team will be allowed to occupy one time zone unless they are able to bump the other team off to another time zone This is my idea for a future jetlag series
