Loren from Northern Ohio and boondockspwc and I had became friends over the last two years so I invited him down to Florida to experience jet skiing in Florida. Tracy and Danny joined us, all on FX Waverunners for a tour of the Gulf of Mexico off Clearwater Beach. Great day with some challenges sucking up sea grass at the end of the trip led to hi jinks... mainly be me. (this video is about: Bob Broeking, WhiteSpider, Jet Skiing, Jet Ski, Yamaha Waverunners, FX Cruiser, VX Cruiser, Seadoo's, jet skiing on lakes, jet skiing on rivers, jet skiing in the Gulf of Mexico, jet skiing in the Ocean, jet skiing in Natural Springs, how to jet ski in Florida in 2022, adventure Jet Skiing)

Yes I started out as a customer of Loren’s and then we developed a friendship which led to me inviting him down to Florida to ride. I hope he comes back over the years and I can head north to ride in his waters. Thanks for watching! There is another video following this one with Loren’s 2nd day of riding down here! Bob

13:09 you stand up, Rock the ski to try and dislodge weed/grass. It’s a surprise, but every time I’ve needed to do this it actually works ! (Just as your experience)
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking 2 года назад
But you actually have to turn the motor off or it is not really effective.... it would still be holding the grass to the intake grate...I did not worry about that step... tried to "blow" it out and it worked.

Yes I will ... I had this on my to do list and was just waiting to give it a few more months of wear and tear.... look for a 6 month review in about 60 days. Thanks for watching and thanks for asking. There are zero performance issues with it as far as I can tell and it looks like it was just done after 6 months of heavy use. Ill talk with my friends ad try and get you a comprehensive opinion in the near future.

Nice video as always! Would love to get down to Florida one day and experience your beautiful area and those beautiful waters. Had some great rides in our bay and ocean up here in Rhode Island this season but have had some pretty rough conditions with lots of heavy chop, waves and wind coming in off the Atlantic and up into the bay. Always fun, though. Thanks for taking us along.

May I ask ? How do you capture the track to replay on the “ relive “ yellow line ?
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking 2 года назад
I capture it two ways... I catpure a GPX track of all rides one iphone using navionics APP and I also capture one on my GPS/chartplotter and then upload to relieve to make the video. An even easier way is to just track your ride in real time from the relive app on your phone and then make a video within the app.

Hey Bob, I recently joined a boat club about 2 months ago & they have jetskis. Would love to get to know the waters as I’m new here to South West Florida. I live in Tampa but I usually take out skis from treasure island/St. Pete or armature works. What would I need to to find out when your going out so we could meet up.

In this situation with grass being stuck, do you think an IDF system on Yamaha as on Sea-Doo would have worked?
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking Год назад
First thanks for watching… the answer is “maybe, probably, yes?” I base that on other riders comments who have IDF that say IDF would clear that…. Based on what I have seen in videos (not real life) it probably blow out most of the clogs. There have been a few occasions I do not think it would clear it was packed so tight… see: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9IixL6W0L90.html

@@BobBroeking interesting, I wonder if Yamaha are allowed to include an IDF or similar considering Sea-Doo's concept design 🤔. Yes, I have seen your other video, attack of the sea grass monster... Save Yourselves! That was a big "X" for future visits 😅
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking Год назад
@@NoNopeAndNo good question….. Yamaha seems to be behind Seadoo in innovative new designs and tech… when I look at the new FX I see the same old design with a new dash that doesn’t work smoothly as it did on the 19/20’s models.
@NoNopeAndNo

@@BobBroeking Still, engine reliability over other s and luxuries, especially when going out in ocean long distance. However an IDF of some type should become standard on all these PWC's considering the use and impeller intake systems. Great videos 👍

I know this is a really dumb question, but as a new PWC owner, what long sleeve shirts are you wearing to prevent sunburn and get in the water like that without being bogged down? Thank you from Loveland, Ohio.
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking 2 года назад
They are commonly called rash guards for beach use; they are light weight nylon fabric that drys quickly - no cotton! I was wearing one that Loren gave me... I think his going to sell them at hi sit soon at boondockspwc in Ohio.
@LorenP
@LorenP 2 года назад
Good question! Look for "dry weave" material. Many fishing shirts and "rash guards" are made of this material. It is very light weight, comfortable, dries quickly, and blocks the sun. The shirt Bob has on is made of dry weave. There are many great options out there made by Pelagic, Huk, Bimini Bay. As Bob mentioned, I will be selling my shirt on the website after it's going. I wear Bimini Bay and also my own dry weave shirts.
