When I was 9 years old back in 1972 my father store bought an airplane for me similar to this one in your video. It was powered by a twisted up rubber band. I never knew exactly where he bought it. Somewhere in Great Bend Kansas. But it would take off from sitting on the street and fly straight for a couple of city blocks then come down to land on it's tires. Every time! The streets where I lived back then were brick streets but that didn't interfere with it rolling smoothly. I flew that plane for a little over a month until it was ran over by a car that was turning into the Dillons grocery store in my home town of Larned Kansas. We lived 2 blocks up the street from Dillons on a hill. Dillons is still in the same location. Anyway, your plane and your children reminded me of my experience as a kid. LOL Sorry this was so long.
Well done indeed to Paul for the build here. What a cool plane! I'm 63 yrs old now, and I can still remember not being quite tall enough to get a clear assessment of test glides; these things come with time. Impressive flights! Well done Paul and all at J&H Aerospace. ⭐👍
That’s a magic moment for Father and son, great to see the lads more active interest now because of his involvement in the building,it really did fly well.love from the old free flighters here in Dorset U.K.
Thats an amazing kit! I made one when I was a kid back in the late 70s....Remember walking over to the High School field and flying for the first time it flew perfectly....ran under it the whole flight and caught at the end...Cheers...Thanks for posting
Thank you! The Eaglet is legendary, took me a long time to locate a kit when I was in college. Gave it to my wife after we married and she built it. I promised myself I'd release a kit for it someday. Finally did it!
Úprimne ďakujem. Občas mám čas si pustiť vaše video. Mám 56 rokov. Ale stále som malý chlapec niekde v duši. Obdivujem Vás, a týmto komentárom vám želám veľa podobných videí a vašej celej aktyvite.
Josh, explain for the novices what you mean by a flap. Also, the freewheeling prop will produce a left yaw. With the prop replaced by an equal weight, it might go perfectly straight. And you are right about height. From Paul's present height, the plane doesn't have time to recover from the launch before it hits the ground. He will be in a better position when he catches up to his dad in height.
Joshua are you having any success with dynamic gliding? I know you were having trouble getting into DS. My advice is to think of it as doing continuous loops, its the way I was told to do it.
