Jethro Tull - Nothing is Easy (Drumday Monday drum cover)

This one was requested by my mum, Hazel, and what a good choice it is too. I still have her copy of 'Stand Up' on vinyl, which features this song, and true to its title, 'Nothing is Easy' was a challenging track to drum along with this week.
I always loved Clive Bunker's drumming in this song, and hope you enjoy my interpretation of it.

Please could you tell me when the pattern is for the opening snare section? I’m learning drums, and play in a band. I’m trying to training me ear to the difference between fast singles and double strokes. Thank you, Adam

Hey Adam thanks for asking. In the opening I’m either playing a ‘Ruff’ (llR or rrL) or a fast ‘single stroke four’ (rlrL or lrlR). Hope that helps!

@@AndyLyth that makes sense. I suppose good playing is felt, rather than forced. I got a Yamaha Gigmaster. It’s pretty decent. It’s an entry level kit. But it has solid hardware, and some nice Paiste cymbals.
