Hi Harry, just decided to comment on this video to thank you so much for your RC world's best tutorials!!! I'm using a DC 16 and DS 16 for a lot of electrical powered gliders and playing around with Jeti know since 2 years. Even in these "from start" tutorials are still explanations and hinds I didn't know yet. With you very well understandable English for a not native speaker, it's fun to follow (did so with an R10 Assist config today). So please keep on with your excellent work and have a great start into 2022 with nice flights and hopefully more tutorials. All the best and greets from Germany!
Hi Rhoener63, thank you for your kind words, glad you enjoy my videos. Maybe in 2022 I will be able to get back to JetPower and Segelflugmesse in Bavaria!
Hi Harry, I usually copy a model and alter it to suit, but this time I thought I would start from scratch and follow your video. I have often wanted to try flight modes and setting up flaps is always a nightmare for me. So Finger on the space bar to pause the video, and left and right arrows to go forward/back, Tx on the bench I painlessly set up a similar model including flaps! Thankyou thats another pint I owe you......
Extremely enjoyable to watch RC airplanes video, it's great to see what you're doing and it's impressive. Thank you so much for making these videos. Since I also deal with flight modeling myself, I also subscribe to and like the channel
Hello Harry, Through all videos dealing with complete glider setup, I didn't see how you make ajustments of travels (ailerons, elevator, direction) : is it through servo setup screen (max pos and max neg setting) or is it through dual rate settings ? Thanks for help How,ore where is it possible to ask you a question on programming in general ?
Hello Harry, your assistance please. I have searched online but have been unable to find much on the Jeti mixing functions. I am using a DS16 11 transmitter. My task: I want to set up snap flaps on a 2 meter moulded glider (4 servo wing). Reading the Jeti User Manual it looked to me as if I could use the mixing function to drop the flaps and ailerons a few mm, mixed to the elevator. I was then considering using my Crow stick as the activator with deployment of Crow switching off the mix. This would potentially give me snap flaps in my 3 existing modes but switch them off when I deploy CROW. The User Manual refers to 'Free Mix Multiple Servo Settings' and states "If mix uses more than one output function as the slave, then the OUTPUT MIX menu will appear.etc.". I can see no way of selecting more than one output function? Hence no output mix menu with the ability to edit the settings for the individual slave servos. If what I an trying to do does not make sense I am sure you will tell me. If I cannot use this method I will set up another global MODE for the snap flaps and again use the movement of the CROW stick to disable them so that I do not get snap flaps when I am using CROW. Your help much appreciated.
Hello. First of all, thank you so much for all the Jeti videos you have made, they have been a great help in understanding this system. I have one thing I'm trying to accomplish. I try to get ailerons only to be activated when the stick is halfway down to full Butterfly / crow. I do not find the function curve function in the butterfly / flap menu to adjust this. Do you have any tips on how this can be solved?
As you have found, this cannot be done in the Butterfly menu. Set the aileron value back to 0%. Create a new function with your Butterfly stick as the control, but no servos assigned to it. Make a mix of that function to aileron, single direction. Change the mix curve to 3 point and move the relevant end point ( point 1 or point 3 ) to the centre 0% value.
Nice video!! I have a DLG glider, but having trouble on setting its ailerons (flaps) on the thottle stick. Since there is no separate flaps I have to use its ailerons. Do I have to assign a channel for flaps even if i dont have them?
