I love the Jetson electric bike I bought one for my mom she’s 74 years old she loves it we ride everywhere together safety is a big issue so more lighting louder horn installation on accessory your videos are awesome thank you so much for taking the time in making these videos
I found your channel upon a quick Google after I thought my battery was dead after this passed Winter. After disconnecting and a couple power cyclings, and then a quick recharge, the battery magically came back to life! But I’m grateful that you showed me how to replace it, because I thought I was out $150, and when it eventually fails, I plan to replace it. So thank you for that! I liked your videos about accessories for the Bolt. I originally purchased the bike for commuting to save money on parking, so I bought many of your accessory suggestions on Amazon using your links. They’re good quality of life improvements! Thank you! I love that bike. It was totally an impulse buy at Costco, but it is so much fun! You have the definitive videos to keep maintaining and upgrading this amazing bike. Namaste to you, my friend.
Thanks for these videos. My wife and I just saw these for the first time this past Sunday at Costco, $329. We looked, we liked, kept shopping. She text me the next day, says she really liked the bike, went back to Costco that day and she bought 3 of them, lol.
Haha this bike is really good, especially for that price. I'm glad you got it for $329, Coscto recently increased the price to $349. Hope you all enjoy riding the bike. Thanks for watching my videos and supporting my channel.
Cool, thanks for another great detailed video. I often receive a healthy amount of curiosity when I go out riding on my Jetson Bolt Pro. I’m glad that you are exploring all of the different possibilities in making the riders experience more enjoyable and safer.
Shiva, iiloveyour mods on this bike. I recently bought this bike from Costco last week since then I fell from the bike 4 times and badly injured my hands and ankles. I found out in a panic stop I turned the right hand handlebar counter clockwise inadvertently that made my bike lurch forward uncontrollably. I was wondering if I could revert the polarities the accelerator on the handlebar that would solve this problem. So after this modification if I want to accelerate I ‘d turn it clockwise. Thanks
I am a newbie 2 this electric bike thing & I love ur in depth reviews. I have breathing issues that limit my bike riding but I still want 2 pedal but need an assist when I need it. So here I am. Ur reviews of the Jetson Bolt pro is spot on. New Sub here!
Thanks for watching my video and supporting my channel. Let me know your thoughts about these accessories. Check the description of my video for product links.
Can you do a review and add a suspension seat post? Or if you have a video would love to see it. Hear is the link to amazon would love to see you review this product or something like it. www.amazon.com/dp/B089R8TVL9/?coliid=IMKLOMFYEB4CA&colid=2D08ARVDT3DC6&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
@@BMRProductions I will review that post in my next accessories video. Looks like it would be a great mod to make this bike less stiff. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video! Just ordered three of the Bolt Pros from Costco - one for me, the wife and daughter. Should have done it earlier because the price is now up to $349 each. :( Can't wait to customize with all the cool accessories you've been featuring.
Hello, thank you very much for watching my videos and supporting my channel. Yes, that is very unfortunate they raised the prices. I did see in my local Costco yesterday that the price was $329. Their website says $349. So, might be worthwhile to check your local stores and save $60 :)
I have one. I love it. Only thing is, the small tires won't make it over a small curb or driveway lip, without twisting & throwing me. I literally have to come to a complete stop, lift the bike up over the curb, then get back started.
I just commented on your other accessories video about mirrors, then this video popped up. I will take a look at this mirror, I kinda like it! Thanks for all you do, I appreciate the information!
I always watching to all of your videos about jetson bolt pro, since I've got my own Jetson Bolt Pro a week ago.. It's crazy part of me having an urge to bring my bike to a more functionable state of being.. 😅 Wish That i can do an upgrade to a controller, motor and battery.. Haha.. Thank you always Sir.. Have Fun Always 🙂👊🏼🇨🇦
That sounds fun!! You all should do the lights and ride together at night. People will pull over thinking there is a police parade 😂 Of course 15mph pursuit haha. Thanks for watching my video, I really appreciate the support.
@@carrieFreedom Haha 😂 🤣 I have probably spent a lot more in accessories for this bike than the bike itself lol, especially that second battery, since it was third of what I paid for the bike!!
I like the accessories, loved the presentation. I will defiantly buy everything except the colorful wheel light lol. that's a bit much for me. Thanks for this video it was very helpful.
cool men like 👍I just buy this bicycle 2 day ago on Costco for 329 ...and I loved im looking forward to put some accessories on my bolt pro ..really like yuor videos keep up the good work I'll keep looking yuor videos there great 👍..
I finally bought the bike today due to your awesome vids. I’m looking forward to doing the mods that you suggest...especially the dual switchable battery that your newer vid covers. Funny enough, your vids got me interested in Tesla as well. Probably going to be my next car.
I've had my baby almost 3 months & the first upgrades were a rack & Schwinn commuter seat that makes a world of a difference on my back. I won't need extra light. I'm not planning on night drives. Next will be panniers for 10lbs of groceries. I'm doing it now w/a backpack. She rides great! Mirror is another. How do you do mileage w/o odometer?
An essential missing accessory from this excellent list is folding pedals. They exist and let you reduce the side profile of the bike when carrying it aboard transit. If you can fit it into a bag, it becomes luggage rather a bike. That’s handy for jurisdictions that don’t permit folded bikes aboard.
Thank you for sharing. Now i have an idea what kind of accessories i might be adding up on mine. Just bought the jetson e bike but not the pro coz we dont have it here in Canada yet. Can't wait that is why i bought the 1st one. Just assembled it tonight and charging. Cant wait to try it out tomorrow.
Thanks Shiva. Do you have a recommendation for an action camera mount? I do have a GoPro and the Insta360 One X2 with invisible selfie stick. My bike is coming today. I think the 360 camera shots / videos would be awesome. Thanks
Great video. Thank you! I just bought the phone mount. One question; is there a reason why you didn't mount the phone holder in the center? (the neck part)
Thanks for the showcase! I just got my bolt pro and wasnt sure what phone holder i could get since there isnt much space on the handlebars on the bolt. Made sure to use the affiliate link to support u, thanks for the vid :)
Thank you for making these videos I’m im love with the bike I bought one for my mom she loves it she 74 years old and we ride everywhere of course safety is a big issue for me I appreciate your videos on how to install accessories appreciate all the videos RU-vid thank you for taking the time out and doing these videos my My name is Sandra Folchi and I would love to speak to you on more security your safety on the bike
You find the BEST products! Definitely planning on getting those mirrors. Do you have any plans for upgrading the handle bars? I want some that are a little bigger so I don’t have to hunch over so much but I’m worried I’ll mess up wires and stuff-do you think it’s worth trying?
Hi Alfred, thanks for watching my videos and for support my channel. I am not sure how you can upgrade the handle bars. That might be difficult. I would assume the left one would be easier given there is nothing connected there but the right one has a throttle. Replacing that throttle assembly could be costly. Let me look into this for you. If I find something that might work, I will let you know :)
Could you do one to show where and how you store the bike inside and how it fits in small spaces? I'm wondering if it will fit in a small internal storage area I have, with the handlebars folded down. I've waltched several of your playlist videos and don't think that's covered. I'm just learning about this bike and deciding whether to buy. Thank you for your excellent videos.
As I’m doing research on what kind of e-bike to get . Since my Uncle has an Onyx RCR which I don’t think I can afford. At the moment , and looking at the Jetson Bolt Pro and the DYU 3 and Ancheer bike (w/the 500watt motor/ 48volt battery) same as the Bolt Pro. Seems right up my alley as my 1st e-bike. and I don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for an e-bike. Your videos and tutorials on this Bolt Pro is really informative and great. And I’m looking to either get the Jetson Bolt Pro or the Ancheer with 500watt motor . But have you thought of get the Handlebar extender for extra space ? I use that for my custom Razor Air Kick scooter 🛴 . And or replace the handlebars for longer MTN bike handlebars or BMX handlebars for more room? all in all I love your videos on the Jetson Bolt Pro ❤️👍🏼
Hello! I’m about ready to pick one of these up for the summer. Would you be able to confirm if the front wheel can be equipped with a quick release axle? Thank you!
Hello, it currently has a solid axle. I am sure you can convert it to a quick release but I haven't done it in my bike yet so I cannot comment on the complexity of it. Thanks for watching my video.
@@ShivaSapkota Thanks for the reply! I’ll go ahead and try installing one once I purchase the bike. I’d really like to still be able to use my Yakima roof fork mount rack to free trunk space. Keep up the great content!
@@capitan_mjc7098 Thank you. Please let me know if you are able to convert to quick release axle. I think that would be a great video for my channel. Cheers!
To be honest with you I find those lights that do make use of batteries that you can swap tend to last longer than the rechargeable type, once that battery fails in the rechargeable type getting hold of another battery to replace it, if you can find the right one involved busting open the case of the light. And often the replacement battery tends not to be as good as the original and fades quicker even if you buy the same supposed AH of the battery. But with a simple battery swap 1/ the batteries are often easy to get hold of and easy to change and last just as long or you could simply use rechargeable replacement batteries and nowadays you can even buy lithium cells in standard form. So this system makes more sense.
I agree with you. The rechargeable batteries tend to die out much quicker than just swapping the batteries. Thanks for your insight and your feedback. I really appreciate your time.
I bought one a month ago aprox. Both, front and back tire reflectors, already broken. The wheel light, too complicated for me, hehe. do the Volcanic lights can be used in tire rims? Any other accesor for rim reflection? thanks for your great videos.
Hi Sofia, thank you very much for watching my videos. It rides quite well. I have done 30+ miles multiple times with two batteries and pedal assist. The seat does start becoming uncomfortable for me right around that 30 miles. I have heard folks using suspension seat post and gel seats to make it more comfortable for long rides. The bike performance is awesome and really useful for commuting.
Thanks for the informative video. Just bought my bike from Costco. Regarding the rearview mirror, there is a 62 diameter and a 68, which one did you use? Thanks.
The only Improvement that I can think of when it comes to your videos, is that you should start telling the price of each thing in the video that would be really helpful
Hi Shiva! Thanks so much for these videos. I bought the Jetson bike from Costco last Monday and your videos have been super helpful for my dad and I when we put the bike together. We love the bike so much and have been looking for accessories to make our rides more comfortable. The Jetson bolt bike has a basket you can attach, but not the Jetson bolt pro. Is there any basket on the market we can use? Thank you in advance!
Hello, thank you for your kind words. I think the Jetson Bolt basket works for this bike. I have also seen people use this front pet basket: amzn.to/3w3FCBd
Shiva, great video. I just bought the Jetson and I think it is awesome. Two questions. Where do i get the rack for the back and where do I get the bag. That would be great for going to the store and being able to bring things home. Please let me know Thanks!!
Hello, thank you very much. I really appreciate your feedback. Here are the product links: ✅Rear Rack (USA): amzn.to/3mKvpES ✅Rear Rack (Canada): amzn.to/3p7i9xa ✅Storage Bag (USA): amzn.to/2WB96Hk ✅Storage Bag (Canada): amzn.to/3vvraCl ✅Water Bottle Holder (USA): amzn.to/3pmqZ9b ✅Water Bottle Holder (Canada): amzn.to/3oXL5r6
Shiva, I was wondering if there was an accessory like a bigger seat for us 'big bottom' guys? I have watched several of your vids and there was no mention of a custom seat other than one with a bigger post to allow for taller riders. Thank you for all the information.
Hi I have a question for you I just received mine and I was riding and it just turned off 2 time I was wondering if that has ever happened to you is it like the power cut off or something but it wasn't hot or anything thank you!!!
Hello, that seems very strange. It does seem like some sort of a power cutoff. That happened to me once but I realized I accidentally pressed on the power button instead of the cruise control button. If the problem persists, please return it and get a new one. Thanks for watching my video.
I’ve been looking at mirrors. My handle bars are a bit crowded since I put a basket up front. So thank you! I agree that drivers might not realize the bike has an actual turn signal. Maybe if it was the only blinking light? If all are turned to blink, it’s kinda lost in the disco light show. 😁 Wonder if a set of blinkers could be made with yellow lenses so people could better understand. Something to research later :) Thanks again!
Yeah the bar end mirrors are awesome. I agree with you, the turn signal has to be bigger and probably yellow with a clear right and left sign. The lasers are cool though. With all these lights, my bike looks like I am on a police pursuit or something 🤣 Thanks for watching my video, I really appreciate your continuous support to my channel.
My wife and I LOVE our Bolt Pro's. Weather is getting warmer here in Ontario, Canada and been out for a few rides now. Can you recommend a seat post replacement? I'm 6'2" and would love to have my seat extended a bit higher. Keep posting these great videos. Much appreciated.
Hi Robert, thank you for watching my videos and for supporting my channel. The stock seat post is about 300 mm and 28.6mm diameter. Any post longer than that but with the same 28.6mm diameter would work. I found this on amazon (might be different in Canada) that can extend to 450mm, which would give you a nice height boost. You can check it out here: amzn.to/3cbQjeg
My Bolt Pro has reflective tape on relevant parts of the frame. I opted for tape over conventional lighting due to the risk of something flying off “centrifugal force “ and then getting caught up in the wheel and an ensuing accident 🤪 I ran fairy lights in and around the frame, rear basket and front basket. I also found a funky flashing light bell.. All lighting in combination with the reflective tape made my Bilt Pro highly visible. I also wear a reflective safety vest at night.👊🏼👍😎🇨🇦🫶🏼
Thanks Janet. The pedals are pretty good on this bike, you can certainly get folding pedals. It is hard to find a toddler seat as the rear racks are limited to 22lbs max weight. I have seen people get this front seat: amzn.to/3pYqFPr
Note that in many states there may not be any red lights on the front of a vehicle or bicycle. They must be white or orange. Red lights may be used exclusively on the rear of the vehicle or bicycle.
Great video. I just got one of these but having trouble installing the right side pedal. The left installed super quick, but the right won't catch the thread. Any ideas or tricks on how to install?
Hi Sonny, thanks for watching my video. That is very strange the pedal is not catching the thread. Perhaps file the very tip and make it slightly thinner to help it?
Hello, thank you very much for your support. Please check this page, I have all the accessories and also a front kids seat: www.amazon.com/shop/shivasapkota.
Cool video. 5 below has a wide array of LED lights thar although not always advertised for bikes seem quite similar to those featured here. The price is right at $5 or less and you save shipping time. I like that even though your Bolt is souped up it is still small enough to take into grocery stores and keep your eyes on your stuff.
Hey Shiva. I have a big squeal on the front brake, think uts the pad. If I need to replace. Where would you buy, or what would you do to correct. And to reinstall if brake pads are no good. The bike is new. :) Love all your advice friend.
Hi Doris, that would be too soon for those brake pads to wear out. Check to make sure there aren't any debris stuck on the disk area. Sometime it could make that noise if there is water and you just have to dry the bike. If it is the brakes, let me know and I will recommend some brake pads. Thanks Doris, I appreciate you watching my videos.
Interesting stuff I just got mine. I love it. I’m just gonna see how I can get it to go at least 10 more miles an hour not 15 sorry 15 miles an hour more because I’m trying to get it to go to 30 miles an hour in total, that’s it no higher, I’m even good with 25 more miles an hour meaning my bike would go 25 miles an hour so I’m trying to find all over the place because I got a Jetson and I watch some RU-vid videos and I don’t know I don’t get it so if you got any advice, you can send it over to me. Send me any advice.
Hi Robert, yes I have that video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-es2XFwU_tGQ.html. Please reach out if you have any questions. Thanks for watching my videos.
Hi Vishal, the price is already at $349, so you kinda have a $20 positive equity lol. The bike has been great for the last 8 months or so, I would recommend keeping it. Thanks for watching my videos, appreciate the support.
Hi Caroline, the handlebar height is 41" from the ground. The seat height can go as low as about 26" from the ground. The distance between the seat and the handlebar is 26". I think it will work for you? The seat is comfortable and wide. Thanks for watching my video.
Hey Shiva! How tall are you?, what’s the width of the tire? I’m wondering if there’s enough space on the forks, to put a little wider tire, like a 2.4”
Hello, the rack is from Outtag, bag from BV bike and water bottle holder Accmor. I have the Amazon links in the description. Thank you for watching my video.
Don't feel comfortable drilling a hole (and don't have a drill) for the mirror. Do you know of any mirrors that you can just snap on without using screws, simple and easier than drills or cutting holes or taking screws and nuts out and screwing things back in? Thanks.
Is this bike able to add a front child seat? I have a swagtron cycle pro and added a little seat with handle bars for my 2 year old son. I want to purchase this bike also if it is capable of doing so.
Hi Aaron, you can technically add a little child seat. The room is tight but something like this should work. Check Aliexpress, they sometime have cheaper option. Here is an amazon link: amzn.to/3rkuSft. Thanks for watching my video.
I am honestly not sure what they changed on the "new version." I would recommend getting the $3.18 since it has great reviews and a good entry level lock. Thanks for your continuous support to my channel. Did you figure out your battery issue?
@@ShivaSapkota Hi Shiva, thanks.. planning to get the lock, mirror (glass), and the red (rear/side/helmet) lights! Re battery - they asked for pics of the controller and original battery. I got an immediate initial response saying since the battery has the correct voltage, etc., etc. "our battery can work well on your bike" - but they also said "I will definitely help you solve this problem" - so that's encouraging. I'll let you know.
FYI: Another must have accessory. Meilan M3 mini gps speedometer/odometer. Only $22 at Aliexpress. It will eliminate the need to mount your phone to the handlebar. Besides giving you real time speed and total distance it will give you altitude, and many trip readings including riding time, trip distance, max speed and average speed. The black one looks best. Mount it right in the middle on top of the steering stem.
@Jeremy Bailey Looks like another good choice. I like the meilan m3 because it is small and fits perfect on the top of the steering/handlebar stem using the firm mount and then sits at a perfect angle to view while riding. Note:. A big water bottle may interfere.
