@@Jarubimba I've actually gotten good at surviving those, but the spin attack always gets me because the windup looks similar to the grab (from my experience at least)
I remember the fight with him. The moment he started beating the shit out of me, once he lost his sword, was hilarious. He even dealt more damage with his fists than with his actual weapon.
@@alexstach8667 i never forget, one day when my brother were fighting with Sam, he throwed his sword away and Unarmed him, then he said something like "oh shit. Now its going to be more harder to beat him, he's more dangerous without his sword.", And then ı did said to him something like " are you kidding with me? He uses a sword just like yours but a better one and heck we even have to use this sword for beating to last boss (and ı'm even gonna mention about his scabbards features). And you're saying this Man is more dangerous and harder to beat without his sword which is the only thing that you can use for the killing a fucking senator?" . And of coursely, i didn't believe to my brother. I was thought "since he was able to hit his Hand and unarmed him,the game system would reward him, so my brother can hit to Sam more easly, Sam would get problem to hit my brother and give less damage to my brother" like that. But i was Completely, utterly wrong about everything. Sam was moving more faster, he was giving more damage with his bare hands and he was more harder without his sword and my brother had a very hard time to hiting to Sam(and he also was running away from him like a crazy chicken). He even glad when Sam take back his sword. And after that, i always did think about "How can a man who's using a sword which is the only thing that can kill the Senator Armstrong, be more dangerous with his hands and with his Martial arts skills?!", And ı'm not still able to find an answer for this question, and ı don't think ı'll ever be able to find one.
@@aaronlainez6191 this is the dlc story where it shows jetstream sam's story of how he got recruited by armstrong where Spoiler alert: He lost his arm and got replaced by an advanced cybernetic prosthetic arm Keep in mind however that sam does not have any cybernetic enhancements in this just an exoskeleton armor
This is a man with minimal cybernetics... -He dodges INTO a death laser, is fine after -Taunts a giant robot and is able to make the AI FILLED WITH RAGE -Pretty much just fly by jumping Samuel is a fucking beast.
Guy’s a badass. Can you imagine if he and Raiden had been working together in this game? They’d have killed Armstrong and the other bosses and ended this story in...... what? Like an hour?
@@TheDAWinz He had a cybernetic suit so he could at least keep up with the cyborgs of the new age... but even then, it was just a suit. Everything he does in this DLC is with his own skill.
@@xornedge8204 not only fight better but he was motivated, had a sense of justice and purpose,an identity and will to fight and win.Even if the arm is a buff (which i disagree with) he become a broken man and broken men fight worst than motivated men no matter how much you upgrade them.
This man is unironically the most powerful metal gear character in history. He was able to destroy Raiden and a Metal Gear despite only being a human in an exosuit
@@roycebracket1010 sam only has his arm because he lost to armstrong, altough it was because armstrong caught im off guard after sam chopped his arm off
If Raiden at the beginning of Revengeance could flip that thing like a burger and then cut it up into sashimi then yeah, Sam would treat it like a chihuahua lmao
RAY getting dissed on in every MGS title. Even REX who is basically weaker and older than RAY, which is designed to be an Anti-Metal Gear, got wrecked to pieces by the old thing.
This man legit full combo'd a MG Ray, 100 to zero in less than a minute. It took Saucy Jack like 30 minutes to beat one and Sam kills it as if it was just another cannon fodder Cyborg. Turns out a brazilian samurai was the true missing link, to finally surpass metal gear
To be fair, Raiden wasted a lot of time lifting and throwing the Ray, only for then jump into it and cut it as he ran along its body just because he could
@@Wizz5 i mean, you should actually be glad because if they decided to make Rising 2 instead of Survive then they would have ruined the entirety of Rising while Survive is a less worse case because now, literally nobody considers that game canon.
Metal Gear: **tries to physically hit Sam** Sam: "...and I took that personally. It's not like I was mad or anything, just felt like, y'know, having a little *fun* "
Yeah, if this was an anime, we wouldn't have even seen Sam moving. He would have drawn his sword, looked at Ray, sheathed his sword, and Ray would have fallen apart
I finished this game a month ago and it's only now occuring to me how cheesy and badass the Muramasa's sheath is, it's just a fucking gun that fires out the katana like a spring loaded car. It's so ridiculously badass thanks to Sam's fighting style
That would be because when creating Samuel, they based him off cowboys and samurais making him kind of like a hybrid between the two. Even when you fight him as Raiden you do it in the deserted area and a freaking tumbleweed rolls between you two when the fight starts. Sam is fucking cool!
Honestly from a realistic standpoint Sam’s sword and sheath would be a god-send, despite being an actual sword, not like Raiden’s, it was an old sword that Sam put through the HF process, that’s why it’s red, it never seems to chip or wear down from getting fired out, having an auto-ejecting sheath like that is useful because it leaves you free to figure out your next move without having to consciously draw the blade, and the speed gives you an advantage, since the opponent is basing your counter-attack/parry/attack off what they think is gonna be a normal draw at normal human speeds
Raiden:my entire body is made of metal and my brain and spine are full of wires and stuff I can barely be called a human Sam: soo my arm doesn't work anymore so I'm gonna buy a new one at Walmart and also a sword gun if they have any
Early Metal Gear games- "this is based on current technology and our codec calls will explain the science behind it" Rising- "this man has a sword with an AR receiver built into the sheath and when he pulls the trigger the receiver fires the sword out faster"
Can we appreciate the fact that Sam here was completely human and totally decimated that Metal Gear without so much as breaking a sweat where as Raiden in his v1.2 cyborg body had some difficulty with it?
Can we appreciate the fact that Raiden was also a normal human when he defeated many Metal Gear and one of the clones of Big boss, a clone that was also powered by a exoskeleton. People always forget that pre cyborg Raiden also did very impressive things. And the only reason why he is a cyborg is because he went into the Patriots territory to save a child and he had to endure horrible experiments because of that.
@@hyperion2841 MGS2 Raiden was injected with nanomachines and wore a Skull Suit. Nanomachines are stated to enhance abilities and the Skull Suit was an exoskeleton which is stated to increase strength. Raiden was never a normal human.
Sam is bringing Brazil to everyone xD MGR, I wish we have sequel or spinoff of this amazing game. At least anything would be better than the pachinko machines
Sam is literally just a dude in an exosuit with a sword and nothing else Despite having no robotic drip, he can still kick in the shit of a guy who can suplex Metal Gears
@@Tokmurok Metal Gears are walking Nuke platforms, designed to send ICBMs anywhere around the globe, undetected. Metal Gear RAYs, despite their name, aren't true Metal Gears. They are self-healing semi-organic Anti-Metal Gear weapons designed to take out Metal Gear REXes (the most advanced model at the time). They are not armed with Nukes.
Sam: "The song is screaming for bloodshed, and you don't exactly have any, so..." *Random jobber enemy in the background just falls to pieces* "There we go."
Sam: welcome to brazil, mecha boy And for the local special: morte por mil cortes de espada ( and to spare you from using google translate, because i did for this for i am not Brazilian: death by a thousand sword slices, in Portuguese)
Hey anyone remember when metal gear ray was like the final boss to the entire video game? Yeah well here it is being taken down by a muscular Brazilian man in about 30 seconds
@@silenc3068 Ray was never the final boss, actually rays were always more of a pushover metal gears, much more powerful metal gears like rex, sahelanthropus and peace walker were some of the final bosses
Remember he took out 10 cartel gunmen with just a sword, also at a time when cybernetics or exosuits weren't a thing so it explains how much of a badass he is. Also, I'm so happy that this game is becoming popular in meme culture many years after its release.
We need a prequel game where you play as Sam taking down the Brazilian drug cartels (I think it’d be cool to see his actual experiences during that time).
If he was in anime he will definitely be the drunk looking 40 year old dude that hangs out in the street with alone and in which when danger approaches, he can whip out the MURASAMA and then just fucking flex it in front of the MC, then the MC will want to become his discipline And then in the end, he will give the MC the MURASAMA and then proceed to continue his life like he didn’t just train the fucking main character and give him the most overpowered Katana in the world And then he may proceed to ask the MC where is his MURASAMA and take it back because he can
If Sam didn't have to die, do you think Raiden and him would become "buddy cops"? And would he have to pretend to be Raiden's long lost brother? Would he be the cool uncle?
this is literally the most broken and overpowered character ever, when he taunts an ai, it goes full rage angy mode, and when raiden took like an hour to dewal with that thing, this guy obliterates it in mere seconds also *double jump* also he slices ray in half without his blade even touching it. this guy is literally god
Yes he it. I think they put this fight in his DLC just to show off he is way more powerful than Raiden. And the fact that he sliced MGRay without touching him dont surprises me, my favorite of his moves is "Storm front" where he basically sends a ball of wind blades cutting everything in front of him.
