Jetty Fishing in Destin, Florida - Trying to Beat the Thunderstorms 

I've fished many different places in Florida, those jetties in Destin are still one of my spots of all time. Great video man 👍

So glad you did a video at the east jetty. I've been contemplating heading back down there. Will have to venture that way sometime next month. Now, just have to get lucky and pick a day that the weather won't try to kill me.

Will be there in September. Staying near Seaside but will venture down like the good ole days. Keep on livin' brother!

Love your videos. I get down there two or three times a year to fish. This is a good substitute for being there.

Can’t believe I stayed right there and never tried to go out on the jetty. Tropical storm conditions didn’t help

I've walked both those jetties...it'd be nice if you could get dropped off by a boat, lol. This is a great way to fish when the waters are too rough for boat/kayak.

I got a pair of tough style water shoes and they are great for those. Walked them once or twice

Where did you park to get to this jetty? I’ve drove to the public parking there at the end and then walked over but there’s a sign there stating private property when walking that way. Any other place to park?

When your trebles do substantial damage to the fish, give it the honor of a quick death and a fish taco funeral. A sharpened tire repair reamer works perfectly for on the spot ikejime. Cut the throat, bleed for a couple minutes, and then place your fish on ice. Meat quality is noticeably enhanced.

I had just moved to destin many,many years ago and i knew nothing about anything. So one morning i walked out on the exstream east jetty andbtried to catch something. Suddenly boats began to come hurriedly through the east pass and head for the harbor,duh..... i foolishly stayed on the rocks and a big old willowall and water spout blew in and about washed my ass off of the east jetty. Well live and learn.
