Was dragged to jewel at the hardrock as a male teenager with little expectations i still comeback to some of these songs, probably the best voice ive ever heard live in my life
This song captures perfectly the feeling of nostalgia for me, that ache in your heart for a place that no longer exist. For me, 1982 Delta Colorado, Friday night, off work from Terrell's Restaurant, cruising Main Street, house parties later, I was 19, young and free and i didn't even know it. Memories lost and forgotten like tears in the rain...
i'm from brasil but i have my own version of this friday night, how i miss it..... "I was 19, young and free and i didn't even know it. Memories lost and forgotten like tears in the rain..." perfectly said
I miss Jewel. Such a beautiful and pure voice. I love her phrasing and the scruffy rattle when she belts. Sings with her heart. Someone is playing the heck out of that piano.
@@anahata42 dude I put the link to Chantel it's easy to prove its not Jewel, so you can either go with objective facts or lie to yourself. Asserting something doesn't make it objective truth. I have evidence and proof on my side. You have speculation.
@@ZebraActual well the original will I think always stand the test of time, and not even just because of the fact that it was the stones who even wrote the song in the first place which is a masterpiece, but yes, as far as covers go, Sundays version to me always was the best but recently I heard a cover of wild horses that iron and wine did live and ffs as good as the Sundays version is, even just a non studio quality live rendition by iron and wine with the way sam beam plays guitar and sings it surpassed the Sundays version imo
I truly feel bad for people who can’t stand slow songs. I like many fast songs, but I can also appreciate when someone slows down to put some slower feeling to a tune. I grew up around people who claimed they could only listen to speed metal, or punk rock, or country. I never understood that. I like all those things, but I still like Beethoven, and Elton John.
Get rid of "Country" and I`m with you 100%. The 2 types of music that irk`s me ...Country and the other is Western. Add dump Rap to that too.... that makes it 3.
No disrespect to the Sundays, Susan Boyle, or any other singers who have done great covers of this song, but Jewel's version is far and away the best. There is just so much raw emotion she projects into the lyrics. The rasp in her voice towards the end gives it such a rich tone. I cannot believe she has never done a released version on an album. Thank you for posting this to RU-vid.
Wow didn't know Chantelle Kreviazuk has been around that long.lol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html It's not Jewel sounds nothing like her.
This is Chantel Kreviazuk not Jewel . Here is the proof plus you can contact the artist.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html
Thanks for posting this! I used to have it on my computer years ago, but lost it when the comp died. Haven't been able to find it anywheres else since, and I've always really, really loved this version :)
Loved the song lyrics & music since my eldest brother brought home 1971;s Sticky Fingers learned to sing it jamming with friends, then a couple times on stage. a year or 2 ago ran into my sister-in-law's half sister got turned on to the beautiful female vocal of the song as she played on the street. Great cover Love the many female vocal I heard since. A whole new dimensionc to a clasic.
Once, Before an NFL GAME, I heard Jewel sing the National Anthem. To this day, she did it better than any I've ever heard. I've heard many over the last 55 years. Congratulations Jewel.
This isn't Jewel and Jewel is much better singer than this.this girl sounds nothing like Hewel. It's Chantelle Kreviazuk ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html
I feel you. My cousin committed suicide 2 weeks ago and wild horses was played at her funeral...she was my closest cousin. To think I'll never talk to her again kills me a little
I don't think it was ever released on an actual Jewel album, but I had it on a mix CD of live recordings. Maybe it was released at some point but not that I know of.
This song has been floating around in the pirate world for a very long time and I do not believe this is Jewel but I would love to know who it actually is!
It's Chantelle Kreviazuk. Sounds nothing like Jewel. It's nice but Jewel would put more rational and much better vocals. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html
This is Chantal Kreviazuk. The Piano is a give away. Jewel did not grow up as a Stones fan and the voice of course is wrong. I love Jewel and through this nonsense I have discovered Chantal, who is also excellent and should get all the credit for this cover. Please quit the posts insisting it is Jewel. If you really are Jewel fans you KNOW this is not her
Chantelle Kreviazuk??? Cause that's who this is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html You say Jewel us your favorite artist yet you can't tell when someone who sounds nothingblike her is not her...hmmm ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html
This is Chantelle Kreviazuk not Jewel. The uplosder could have found that out easily on top of it sounds nothing like her ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html
I love her very much... My initials spell Jew... I was supposed to meet her at Mall of America and security treated me weird because I had a Guitar with me as I'm a traveling guitar teacher. I always felt a deep connection to her and cried over my mother's death to this song a few times in my life. Her raw feelings ripped open the floodgates of tears.... I pray that Jewel and her mother Heal, Forgive, Reconcile... God has ways of blocking blessings when we hold a grudge.. we all need to overcome these stumbling blocks... God Love us... we are God's Hands...God's Eyes... My hands are large I know, but there not yours, they are my own and I"ll play guitar with my 7 bands... watch me "Change the World" :) I tried contacting Jewel but she doesn't respond... I can understand she's famous... but my relative Jenny Lind built free music schools all over Europe... I'll do the same with the the Almighty Hand of GOD behind me...holding me, carrying me, breaking through barriers... Psalm 141 142 143 144
She should have gave credit to the Sundays also. This is an exact reproduction of their version. I'd still love to have a studio recorded version or multiple version from Jewel.
I think this is one of the most debated who is it singing it songs, Well If you watched VH1 forever ago when jewel did her storytellers She performed this song. This version is around ten years old. So if all those artists did an version good for them but this is Jewel.
Apparently when Mick's then girlfriend Faith awoke from a near death experience in the hospital he said to her that he thought he had lost her. Faith's reply was "wild horses couldnt drag me away". The line about Faith has been broken has a double meaning in that she was broken as well as whatever faith her had in her to stabilize their relationship. A beautiful song.
I can tell you it didn't take place at a Hewel performance. This is Chantelle Kreviazuk ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i4IoRgLzY3Q.html
